This is where Giethoorn originated, and the oldest houses along the path are located here. No crowds of tourists. (They’re in Giethoorn Zuid.) Here, you can still enjoy the wonderful tranquility and the beauty of the old village of Giethoorn. Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

From here there are many options, such as walking/cycling along the IJssel, a day trip to the beautiful Hanseatic city of Deventer, sauna Thermen Bussloo, Paleis het Loo in Apeldoorn or to the Veluwe. Relax in an oasis of greenery from spring to early autumn, a beautiful warm autumn feeling when the trees change color or seek coziness in the winter months. In the beautiful surroundings, there are many places to visit. Giethoorn, fortified town Steenwijk and the Havelterheide. Furthermore, there are three national parks nearby, NP Weerribben Wieden, the Drents Friese Wold and the Dwingelderveld.

The lovingly furnished apartment MarWil is located in a two-family house in a central location, quietly located in a cul-de-sac. The large apartment (94 square meters) can accommodate 5 guests in two bedrooms and a large sofa bed in the living room. There are 2 separate entrances. The fully equipped kitchen offers a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, fridge and freezer. The fully covered terrace (30 sqm) is a special extra!
