Things happen, and a host may need to cancel a reservation, whether it’s for a home, service, or experience. But a guest shouldn’t cancel on behalf of their host.
If your host can't accommodate your reservation anymore, don't cancel for them. Ask them to initiate the cancellation instead.
If your host insists that you cancel, or if you’ve already canceled on their behalf, please contact us for support so we can get you any refund and protections you’re entitled to.
Note: If you need to cancel for personal reasons—such as a change in your travel plans or a health issue—it’s your responsibility to initiate the cancellation yourself.
If your host cancels your reservation for a home, service, or experience before check-in or the start time, you’ll receive a full refund.
For canceled home reservations, we’ll help you rebook a similar place to stay, based on availability at comparable pricing. Find out more about what happens when your host cancels your home reservation.
If you have a service booked at a home and the home host cancels your reservation, it's your responsibility to contact your service host to make other arrangements.
