Family-friendly vacation rentals in Heceta Beach

What a great place for a family to come together and spend quality time! The house was more than we expected a Ray flexed to answer and solve issues that we did have. Definitely a wonderful place to visit during the Winter season and enjoy the crashing waves of the Oregon Coast. Very thankful for a well stocked kitchen, as we had 10 family members, and enjoyed cooking and preparing during the Christmas season. Absolutely a wonderful spot and we look forward to the next time! Greatest host and house I could have hoped for, especially considering how last minute it was. They went above and beyond to make the stay as wonderful as possible, and easy for all of us. Extremely polite, and proactive. This place feels more like a home than a rental, and it’s easy to feel like you’re staying with family (that you like)! It’s beautiful inside and out. So much to do in the house, you might not actually leave, and they have everything you need and more available. Easily my first choice next time I’m looking to go back. 100/10 stars. Do yourself the favor of staying here.

We had a fantastic stay at this beachfront home. The pics don’t do it justice. The home is comfortable with plenty of room for many people to spread out or hang together. The windows offer expansive view quiet the outdoor area can’t be beat. I wasn’t quite sure about the soaking tubs but they ended up being everyone’s fave feature! 12/10 … would stay here again!

Sweet little cottage with great ocean views. Located on a narrow gravel road with very little traffic, felt private and secure. 101 runs right behind the property but did not notice any highway noise inside the cottage. Had a great time exploring the tide pools and walking the beach. Be sure to check out the cool shops on 101 in SEAL ROCK. Also, a must- Pacific Sourdough, a few blocks off 101 in Waldport for wonderful varieties of sourdough, pastries, and desserts. Thank you, Ruth. Will look forward to returning!

Great location in the Nye Beach Neighborhood. Plenty of nice restaurants and coffee shops to walk to. This is our second time staying here and enjoy the location. The spacious kitchen also allows for family dinners and we like to take advantage of the outside grill.

We were struggling to find a place that would accommodate 6 guests, Luckily we found Audrey! She was very nice and communicative from the start and the space was a great place to stay. It was very cozy but still spacious with a very cute little kitchen that had everything we needed. Everything was very clean and comfortable and the hot tub was an awesome bonus!

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to Newport, check this place out! We were in town from Bend while working on a remodel of a local restaurant, and this place had everything we needed during our stay. The view of Yaquina Bay from the condo is awesome, and the guys even had a hot tub to relax in after work!! All-in-all, I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Lauri and Daniel.

Had a great time relaxing at the coast, comfortable house!

This was our second time staying at this house and my family all agrees that when it comes to value you really can't do better than this place! Though it could use a little updating and TLC (our 8-year old daughter got quite a few splinters from the deck and the railing) the location is great - easy access to the beach, It's pet-friendly, clean and comfortable. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay Wally is very responsive and friendly. We've already booked our next stay here.

The house was in a location that was private and easy to get to town for groceries. Views from the house to the ocean were fantastic. The house itself has a lot of stairs which can be a problem for those with ambulatory challenges. Waldport is a quiet town and less touristy, which we appreciated. We loved our 8 day stay there. We also appreciated Jon's flexibility in allowing us to reschedule at the last minute due to a family situation that arose.

Thank you for the cozy stay and thoughtful hospitality. The location was great for walking and seeing the town our first time there. We enjoyed the art, plants, books, and history the apartment held, making it feel like a place of respite and an intergenerational celebration of beauty, resourcefulness, and care.

This place is magical, 5 stars. Here are some things I noticed during my stay; Otter Rock Beach is literally across the street, You can hear waves all night long and see the water from the windows/porch. Devils Punchbowl at low tide is incredible to explore and then quickly walk right back to the Airbnb. Newport is like 15 minutes away with restaurants, and Depot Bay is 10. Easy peasy for dinner. There’s plenty of cookware, fridge and freezer space, an oven/stovetop, and ability to eat all meals in the yurt. The shower is very small. If you’re a bigger person or get claustrophobic, shower outside. The water pressure is phenomenal and having a tankless water heater is great for multiple humans needing to shower off. If you suffer from allergies, I’d recommend going elsewhere or loading up on meds. It’s obvious that lots of pets have been through here. If possible, bring your own air purifier. The mattresses are firm. Don’t forget to pack bed mats! We’ll be back for sure!

Dee & Tom’s family cabin was the Most wonderful place to stay. If you are looking for peace and tranquility this is the place for you. You feel right at home, beautiful area, a lot of history of the falls and their family cabin is shared throughout the cabin. We have been kicking ourselves in the pants for not planning a longer visit.

We were pleasantly surprised by how clean the space was! It had everything we needed, and it was clear that the hosts do a great job of setting expectations and maintaining a high standard—even though they rely on guests to help keep the place tidy. You can tell that everyone does their part, and it really shows. Would definitely stay again!

This is the second time we've stayed here. Nothing beats the view. The house is just as described. The little neighbor lady below the house is adorable and her yard is beautiful as well. It was a fun trip!

We added 2 extra days to our stay!! The view is beautiful and the beds are comfortable. We liked the low fully enclosed balcony and how it was higher off the ground for a ground floor unit. Possibly 2 feet high. Would work nice for those with young children for safety. We kept the windows open to allow airflow with no AC and felt safe due to the patio being enclosed as well. Some of the other ground floor units are walk out patios and I would not have liked that. Jeannine gifted a bottle of wine and left some great suggestions that we appreciated. The condo has everything you need with many extras in the pantry and front closet. I was pleasantly surprised. It took a few days to spot a whale, but the included binoculars and telescope in the condo was very helpful when we finally did. Pro tip, watch for all the tour boats to gather in one area, it means something has been spotted. Great tide pooling at Fogarty beach(2 miles up the road)during low tide even without a negative low tide

Great homey and welcoming house. The view of the ocean was amazing. Great place to explore the coast north and south. House had everything we needed. Comfy beds! Thank you for letting us experience a wonderful setting on the coast!

We had a wonderful stay at Whalers View! The view is stunning, the HOA pool great for the kiddos, location was a short distance from the main strip of Depoe Bay. The unit was clean and well stocked and we appreciated an easy checkout with minimal to-dos. If you are sensitive to light, there is a bright pilot light in the fireplace that’s in the primary bedroom that flickers brightly at night - just to keep in mind. We would love to come back, thanks for a great stay!

Great view of the ocean with a nice trail down to the beach. Condo was spacious and well-kept, with friendly staff. Pool/Spa have been torn down and new buildings are under construction.

My family and I stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my moms 50th birthday. The house was huge with plenty of space for everyone, did not feel overcrowded. The only issues we had was the microwave was out of order ( didn't know this until after we arrived) made heating up food challenging. 2nd is some of the beds were too firm which made it uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall 5 stars, the location was great, a short distance to the beach and plenty of space for everyone, would stay here again!

Perfect place to visit with a family as you have everything you need in your room for an easy vacation with kids (kitchen, laundry, more then one bathroom, site has nice walking path and basketball court, and the 3 pools are a huge plus).
