The Jungalow

LuxmiRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Nestled in the far countryside of Keeau, the Junglow was the perfect location for our tropical WFR and vacation stay. The house is surrounded by an acre of lush green tropical plants and beautiful fruit trees that align you with nature and give you full privacy. The Internet is strong to work from remote seamlessly. The kitchen is well equipped to cook full meals. Being in countryside, we experienced some bugs due to lamps and leftovers but if you can clean immediately after cooking and eating then it is not an issue. Debra was very communicative throughout our stay. She gave us local recommendations as well as updates on the Kilauea volcano activity and best spots to view the eruption. The property is right between Hilo and HVNP so it was easy for us to make short visits to these places even after work on weekdays. We made some really good memories here and felt completely refreshed at the end of our stay. Will definitely recommend this place if you want to experience real Hawaii.

Rain Forest Paradise Hilo/Volcano Pk 2BD/2BA

JoseRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Home just as pictured and described. A/C was such a relief with the tropical climate. Everything was very clean and welcoming. The master bedroom restroom had a very cool imitation of volcanic rock for the floor. Only *minor* issue would be the entrance to the driveway is a little on the steep side. we bottomed out our car on 2 occasions but as long as you take a really sharp approach angle when leaving, you'll be perfectly fine; or an suv/truck would have no issues at all. Overall, great stay and worth every dollar!

Blue Banana Bungalow - Tropical Hawaiian Hideaway

PenelopeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The place was wonderful! Looked exactly as it was in the pictures and was so nicely kept up. The hosts have really put a lot of detail into this location and we loved the binder on the coffee table with so many local things to do and places to go. Everything was provided for us, they even had beach chairs for us to use. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend for anyone looking to stay near Hilo.

Pineapple Studio, Kitchenette, Private Lanai

JodyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place was perfect! if youre looking for something that cozy and very peaceful, this is it. walking distance to the ocean, not necessarily a sandy beach, however you can drive and then hike out to Shipman Beach which is sandy with lots of turtles! I loved having a kitchen and even yoga classes a few days a week walking distance as well. the deck and outside seating was wonderful too! a wonderful place to come back to at the end of the day after exploring the island, or even just chill at all day as well. : )

Keaau retreat

AngieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Larry was incredibly responsive and kind! The house is tucked away from central kea'au and hilo, the neighborhood is very quiet. Parking is available. There are many roaming chickens around the property but that is just Hawai'i in general. The stay was very enjoyable :) the place is definitely cabin vibes but it was nice to retreat after the busy festival weekend.

Welcome Ome!

MackenzieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Such a unique stay! Exactly as described, very easy to find, and really cute. It’s clear a lot of thought went into the details and construction of this place, with hooks for towels, filtered water in the sink, rechargeable lamps, built-in seating, storage bins, clothes hangers, and charging cords. The shape of the space and the skylight made it feel super spacious. We stayed while the moon was pretty full, but I bet during a moonless night the stars would be absolutely amazing. Thanks for a great stay!
