This is our second visit in the Recycle House. It’s such a lovely oasis. We love all the unique touches and creative uses of materials throughout the house. The location just steps from the charming town of Chester could not be better. The perfect CT weekend getaway!

this place is magical. my sisters and I have stayed here twice now, for her wedding and now for mine. both times the home has been clean and the overall experience has been wonderful.

My girlfriends and I had an amazing stay! The house is stunningly gorgeous—even more beautiful than the photos. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing and fun getaway. The space was spotless, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. We truly had a great time and felt right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stylish and memorable escape!

We stayed at South Quarter House for a week with our dogs while competing in a national agility event in the area. It was a great and quiet place to stay and rejuvenate before each day’s events.

me and kids was there for a mini getaway and everyone had their on bed which was dope a.f..my 10 yo nephew played on trampoline..for extended stay she has washer and dryer (we spent one night didn't use it) only complaint I have is when I took a shower it was a leaning curve with the water temp I couldn't figure the thing out my kid had to help me figure it out besides that place is great imo

Had a wonderful time at Granite ledge. Absolutely beautiful backyard. Very peaceful and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and we slept like babies. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

This house was perfect for us (5 friends gathering to fish the Housatonic). Simple, clean, ac/heat/wood-burning stove, all the amenities, and a great hot shower! We were up and down the short path to the river the whole weekend. Amy was a super-host. Attentive when we needed her, but not intrusive. Thanks Amy, we enjoyed our stay!

The place was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Alexander was welcoming, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly. I really appreciated the thoughtful touches and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

This place is absolutely gorgeous. I spent quite a bit of time just exploring the grounds with my dog. It was too cold to use the pool but it was still beautiful to look at and a nice view while I was cooking/washing dishes. I appreciate the tour I received when I arrived to show me around. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to book again in the future.

I absolutely enjoyed my weekend here. The home is beautiful. Everything you could possibly need was provided In the home. Everything was clean, and neat. House is filled with light. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable. The host were amazing and had great communication, assisted us when needed right away. I would highly recommend staying here, and they are pet friendly which is always a plus for me. The yard is fenced in. Which made it easy to let the dog out, and great for the dog to explore. A++++ Will probably be back sometime In the future.

The pool house is so cute and the outdoor patio is gorgeous and the perfect place to relax. Great place to stay if you want to stay near New Haven but also want to enjoy quiet away from the city. Sue is a responsive and very generous host!

Glenda was friendly and had great communication from Start to Finish. This was a nice location for a family fun weekend. Although the drive is close enough to stores if you need anything (target/stopnshop/bjs etc), the property is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The yard is a great place to hang out and relax with the fire pit or have fun in the pool. And when the weather was crappy the pool table and hanging out in the basement den was nice. Everything in the house is labeled and easy to find. We enjoyed the space and would definitely recommend. Thanks again! 😊

Very nice place, beautiful big deck, awesome creativity to the lighting around the property. A walking path, fire pit, hot tub, big deck to relax on, and a fully equipped stage. It is a step above camping but not quite glamping. A lot of fun, and Apple is a sweet bonus hostess.

It's not a private space with a door that locks behind you, but it felt pretty private up on the top floor of that huge old house. The main room is enormous, with plenty of open space if you wanted to do yoga or whatever. The bedrooms are also a good size, and there was lots of space for my dog. It took a moment to get use to not having a sink in the "kitchen" area, but the bathroom sink is kitchen sink sized, and had everything you'd need to clean up breakfast dishes. All in all it was a good value for a place that was virtually private and had 2 bedrooms, AND allowed me to bring my dog.

We stayed 4 nights at the Moody House. Description of the house was perfect- check-in was seamless. We loved all the natural lighting in the house. Even with a lot of rain, we enjoyed the views of the backyard and quiet area. We didn’t use the hot tub but was provided a video on how to use. Jessica and Adrian provided a great list of shops, grocery stores and restaurants- which we used, so much appreciated! Highly recommend this Airbnb.

We really enjoyed our time at Elizabeth Jane's place. The home is spacious and quaint, with nice furnishings, a tasteful colonial feel and easy access to downtown Litchfield and the Berkshires. The bucolic setting is lovely - scenic, relaxing and peaceful.

We traveled to see Jim Gaffigan at Foxwoods. Bert greeted us with a smile and helped us bring our things to the beautiful Octagon. The path was well maintained, the octagon was clean and fully furnished. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were extremely easy to use. We admired Nancy's creative touches to the place. We felt right at home, listening to the brook and walking the mossy paths. Nancy and Bert were extremely responsive, and their binder suggestion an excellent breakfast place - Joy's - where we enjoyed some hearty food. Nancy and Bert, thank you for welcoming us to your home and we hope to be back again.

Gracious host, friendly and responded very quickly. The Airbnb itself was pleasant, quite cozy with a pretty backyard/garden area. Would definitely recommend to someone looking to stay in the area

We had a great stay at Mark’s place. The location is spot-on—just a short walk to the center of West Hartford, a surprisingly charming little town. Whole Foods, cafes, restaurants—all five minutes away. The house is spacious, clean, and has a nice, fresh feel to it. What really stood out was Mark’s attention to detail. Everything you might need is there—extra towels, toiletries, laundry stuff, umbrellas, coffee and kitchen supplies. even charging cables neatly set up by each bed. You can tell it’s been thoughtfully put together. the mattresses are amazing. We all slept like rocks.

We had a great stay! The location was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and close to everything we needed. Decor was beautiful. We did encounter a few minor issues during our stay, but Anthony was extremely respectful and responsive, quickly addressing everything we brought up. Check-in and check-out were smooth and very convenient. Overall, it was a very comfortable experience and we’d definitely want to stay again.

We had an amazing stay at Peter’s home by Saint Clement’s Castle for our wedding weekend! From start to finish, Peter was an exceptional host—friendly, responsive, and incredibly flexible with the details of our stay, which helped make a busy and emotional weekend so much smoother. The home itself was spotless, modern, and thoughtfully maintained. Every room felt comfortable and inviting, and the clean, updated aesthetic made it the perfect place to relax between events and get ready for our big day. It truly felt like a peaceful retreat during a very special time in our lives. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend Peter’s place to anyone visiting the area—especially for events at Saint Clement’s. Thank you again, Peter!

We really enjoyed staying here, as it was just as described, in a terrific and convenient location, very well laid out, plenty of parking, with a wonderful updated kitchen and bathroom, and clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed in terms of kitchen utensils and a modern washer and dryer right off the kitchen. There was also lots of space to spread out when I needed to do work. It is also rare to find a king-sized bed for tall people! However, the other reviews about the traffic noise on the busy street out front are accurate, so bring earplugs if you are sensitive! We would be happy to stay at this place again in the future.

The layout is definitely as it was in the photos. A little smaller than expected but very homely and comfortable. Grew on us and we felt very much at home. Place was very clean, John was very accessible and was swift in responses. I appreciate the details of the little things from the bathrooms to kitchen and bedrooms that made the house unique. Parking space was there, soaps for laundry, kitchen and bathrooms. It’s really nice we would definitely return. The downside was the mattresses probably needs replacing and would be good if there were televisions in the bedrooms. No other complaints location is nice. Just great.
