Amherst is home to the flagship campus of University of Massachusetts, Amherst College and Hampshire College. Northampton is home to Smith College and in nearby South Hadley is the campus of Mount Holyoke College. Hadley is known for it's farmlands and open spaces. Northampton is a vibrant arts community that overflows with great restaurants, shops, cafes, music venues and galleries.

With a kitchen & washer/dryer, the apartment is peaceful and practical, ideal for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, great for academics needing space for contemplation or for a couple visiting family. Large Quirky Sunny Farmhouse Apartment

The apartment is spacious, bright, and sunny. Full of charming and quirky old details like original windows, hardwood floors, and not many right angles. Definitely not a vanilla box. The furnishings are clean and comfortable and go with the farmhouse feel. Please note that the private staircase used to access the apartment is original to the house. It is steep by contemporary standards and the tread depths are all a little wonky.

This is a home-away-from-home! The space includes a full kitchen, laundry, wireless Internet, a queen-size bed, and more. Located in a safe, quiet, residential neighborhood, there is a river out back for swimming and many books and toys in the apartment if you're traveling with small children. This is an entire apartment, close to downtown. Off street parking is available, as well as on street parking. You won't need to to meet with anyone to check in. Outdoor seating on the deck is for your use only. The apartment is close to downtown. Many points downtown are within walking distance.
