Black Sheep Barn. Stylish, remote and great views.

AyeshaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Black Sheep Barn is just as described in the listing. It is far from any towns and most villages, but this gives it the seclusion and privacy that you sometimes want from a countryside break. The barn was amazing. It was spotlessly clean and the hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The little touches such as the cake on arrival and fresh eggs from the farm were lovely. It had everything you would want from an accomodation and we really enjoyed our time there. It was very relaxing, and the views are astounding. There are plenty of walks straight from the barn, also with great views. The major towns are within driving distance, so easy to get anything you need. We would recommend this accomodation and may well return in the future.

The Little Dairy

Nicole was such a fabulous host, it’s clear she has set out to ensure everyone has a fantastic stay. Communication was quick and had recommendations for food locally. I loved the little luxury details - beautiful fluffy towels, gorgeous cookies, a good fan, shampoos, conditioner, dog treats and towels etc. A very lovely stay, walking distance to the town where we met very friendly locals. Would definitely stay again 🥰

Magic Mountain Cottage: family- & dog-friendly

AllanRating, 5 stars2 days ago
What a brilliant place to snuggle down by the fire when the rain lashes around the beautiful cottage. No rain and a short walk to the top of the field to delight in the view of Barmouth below and the mountains in the distance. I went on my own - but next time hope to be two of us...so the ten gates can be opened by someone else! Breathtaking drive up to the property and the directions from Jo were spot on. I took a DAB radio that helped the FM one on site to listen to plays and sketch. Thank you for sharing the cottage.

Swyn-y-Mor Barmouth, two mins sea, Pets, Hot tub.

PhilRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a great stay from the get go with Sam checking in with us that we had arrived safely and that everything was as expected, which it was. The downstairs rooms were airy and light with plenty of comfy furniture; the kitchen, not that we used it much, was large clean and really well equipped. The bedrooms were excellent with quality bedding and as with the bathroom, spotlessly clean. The rear outside space is a good size with a table and bench seating and is safe and secure, our little dog was very happy out there. We didn't get to use the hot tub but it was very well maintained, clean and ready to go if we wanted it. Parking outside the property is straightforward and the house location is a very short step to the lovely promenade for a then leisurely 10 to 15 minute stroll to the shops, bars, restaurants and harbour. We definitely recommend Sam's place if you're looking to stay in Barmouth and we'll certainly stay there again when we return. Thanks Sam 👍

What an amazing little getaway! Had so much fun paddling and swimming in the lake, was amazing to have a full kitchen attached to the dome. The hottub was spotless and tucked away. Didn't find time to explore the farm but looked like lots of walking opportunities around. A good excuse to come back! Thanks for a great stay.

Right on The Shropshire Way Remote & lovely views

ChrisRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The snug little pods are a perfect place to stay, overlooking open dales with sheep and cows, ducks swimming on pond right outside. Michiala could not have been more welcoming and helpful. we had all the peace and quiet we needed but she was always ready to assist as soon as we needed anything. Her cats and dogs were as friendly as Michaela herself. our neighbours in the other pod were super friendly too ..but with two bathrooms and a perfectly equipped little kitchen between us it never felt crowded. we loved being able to bring our own bedding because we don't like thick duvets, this meant we slept really well and felt absolutely at home.

The Silo

VickyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a lovely stay at the Silo, we just wanted a few relaxing days away with our dog and this was it! Situated in beautiful surroundings with a great private outdoor space where we could let our dog roam without worrying. The silo itself is quirky and beautiful, it has everything you would need inside and the mezzanine bedroom is lovely, we loved the bed which had plenty of space and very comfy pillows 😊. The surrounding area was beautiful and great for walks, and there are a few places to visit just a few miles up the road. We took Linda’s recommendation to visit the town of Montgomery and had a look around the castle ruins which also had great views. Linda was a great host, popped over to see us on the first evening and brought us some milk which was lovely, then gave us complete privacy during our stay but was always on hand via message if needed. Would definitely recommend 😊😊😊

Delightful Thatched Cottage with woodfired Hot Tub

CharlotteRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had an absolutely beautiful time here, Rolanda went above and beyond and helped kindly decorate the place for our anniversary with petals, balloons, chocolate etc free of charge. Absolutely wonderful, peaceful and breathtaking. We brought our dog with us and he absolutely loved it too. Would highly highly recommend, one of the best hidden gems to stay at in wales, with very reasonable rates. No TV nor WiFi, however this is what staying in rural wales is all about! A detoxing retreat 🩷 Do not miss out! If you enjoy staying in paradise rich with history, surrounded by yourself and nature - this is the place to go! 🌹

The Shippen - Open-plan, high-spec, stunning views

DavidRating, 5 stars1 month ago
From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. The location and view is fantastic, we felt so at peace. Internally the property is well equipped and of the highest standard and very clean throughout. The deck in the evening, glass of wine and just listening to the birdsong, so very peaceful. Lots of electric outlets so no need for extension leads and a dimmable lighting system thats like a 70s disco until you get the hang of it 😄. I cannor fault Jeannie, or the property, well worth the cost. Such a lovely place. Thank you Jeannie for making our 20th wedding anniversary one to remember. David and Julie.
