Waterfront vacation rentals in Gulf of Papagayo

We absolutely love this place. This is our second year in playa Potrero. We have looked at multiple places in the area. This is by far the best location. On the beach, it has an amazing view. It is also close enough to all of the restaurants and bars. No need for a car or golf cart unless you want to travel out of town. We have visited multiple beaches north and south of there. This is a place that we would chose hands down. We like a chill environment with good bars and restaurants in walking distance. This is it!

Great place to stay. Central location and very convenient check in and check out process. Security on the premises were also very nice. Really great we could use the pool as well!

What a spot for a vacation! The location was prime and the room itself was well suited for everything you need. This is a hidden gem in the area. Things I appreciated the most: The ocean was steps away for a swim at anytime. The shop keepers and restaurant owners downstairs are great people and pleasant to talk to during your stay. Waffle monkey (breakfast) and Portofino are the best spots for breakfast, fresh seafood, low cost happy hours, and fire show at night during sunset. You can literally walk anywhere in minutes. There is 3 separate door with locks to get to your top floor rental so this spot is very safe! If you are lucky, you'll notice a 5 foot iguana that rests in the trees to your right off the porch, spending days in the trees. Alvaro is the mgmt person who helps you. He speaks great English and responds rapidly to questions. Can't wait to return and bring family. The two units next to each other would be an ideal joint rental for a group of 5-7 people. Highly recommend!!!

The condo was as described and is in a great location. The views are beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. The little beach is great and there are many iguana around the property, much to the delight of our child. The pool was clean and there was plenty of room. We would definitely stay there again.

Clean, bright, airy apartment right on Potrero beach. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, and a very well-equipped, spacious kitchen. 5-10 minute walk—via the beach if we wanted—to several excellent restaurants and a serviceable grocery store. Loved watching pelicans dive for fish from the balcony and the stunning sunsets.

100% recommended. The accommodation is just as shown in the photos and description, very clean and well maintained. Manfred was very kind at all times, check-in and check-out was super easy and accessible. The area is quiet and peaceful in a local neighborhood of El Coco.

Private and secure location. Having beach chairs was awesome and beach access to Ocotal was great! Great spot for families. We appreciated regular communication and check ins- many thanks to Mark!

WONDERFUL owners and home! This was a great spot in a safe place. Just minutes away from Playa Conchal and Playa Flamingo. The communication was A+++ and so was their home. Google maps got a little confused about the address so it took a few extra minutes but the owner helped immediately. It is a beautiful place and completely fenced/gated. Highly recommend!

Staying at Rancho De Linda was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the lush Costa Rican jungle on the beach, it offers the perfect blend of natural charm to fully immerse yourself in the local ecosystem. The property is surrounded by vibrant wildlife — from colorful frogs, friendly iguanas, beautiful butterfly’s, hermit crabs and chirping birds. The views are breathtaking and the sounds of the ocean are mesmerizing — making it a true ecological retreat. Douglas and Irena were delightful hosts. We enjoyed visits from their sweet pup Bambi and loved the availability of the housekeeper. The place is very clean and well taken care of. We loved our Yoga class Irena taught under the palapa and enjoyed the delicious cooking of two local chefs. We drove into Tamarindo for the day and visited the Diamanté Eco Adventure Park for a thrilling zip line. 5 Stars – Best Airbnb I’ve Stayed In! This place was absolutely perfect! The location is excellent—just 50 yards from the beach, which made it incredibly convenient to enjoy the ocean every day. The home itself was spotless, with a beautiful pool and a well-equipped, modern kitchen. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Vidal was amazing—super helpful, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Hands down, this is the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beach getaway!

Andres place was the perfect getaway for my wife and myself. We stayed there about a week. The place is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. We could hear the Howler Monkeys at times and listen to the birds and the rain was the best. Very close to all the amenities, plenty of restaurants, shopping, and beaches. PERFECT!!!

Had an amazing stay at this place, the surfing was top notch. The place is so quiet and peaceful and you can make your own journey on any way you want. I always travel during the off season , even though we had lots of rain the area and place made up for it. The host was so great and responsive and suggested a variety of things to do. The place has everything. Can’t wait to come back Leave no trace ✌️

What a perfect setting and place for a group! We loved the outdoor setting, where the beach meets the jungle! And it was at the end of the cove, for privacy-only a short walk to the nearest restaurants. Plenty of privacy for individuals in the group. The house caretakers were so helpful and kind. We loved the option of having meals cooked for us on site. The house hosts responded to my questions, prior to arrival, very quickly. I hope to go back again in the very near future!

We really loved the peacefulness of this condo. Being away from the tourist destinations, quiet, and a beautiful view was just what we needed. Perfect to just relax, enjoy the beach, and recharge.

We had a great stay! Walked to the beach every evening for a sunset swim. Tara and Tyson provided towels, beach chairs, beach bag and a wagon to pull it all over. We used the pool almost every day, but heads up, during the dry season, lots of leaves fall. This DID NOT STOP us from enjoying it! Oh and lots of iguanas to watch and locate every morning. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the patio over looking the pool. The patio also had a great BBQ to grill up dinners. One of the little, but great things, is the lock box to keep the house key in, never worried about losing it.

We would highly recommend Ron's place in Guanacaste. Location was perfect and in a peaceful setting with a secluded beach and pool, yet walkable to many of the local restaurants and amenities. Host was very responsive and proactive with helping with setting up tours and providing local recommendations. The condo was clean and well stocked with all the supplies needed for our trip and had a wonderful view from the porch to watch the sunsets.

We love going to Reserva Conchal and Daphne's place had everything we wanted, from plenty of bedrooms, to a great location and view overlooking the golf course. Once inside the reserve, we had access to both The Westin and The W and all the amenities they had to offer. Great place to spend a weekend.

We LOVED Casa Besito! The condo is clean, nicely decorated, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. Ray was extremely helpful with any questions we had. We also appreciated that he sent us a list of local recommendations. We tried many of them and loved them all. The condo is within walking distance to numerous restaurants, but having a rental car was helpful to explore places outside of the Flamingo Marina area. We were able to book catamaran snorkeling tour that left right out of the marina. It truly was the perfect location! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

This was a beautiful vacation property with all the needed amenities. The location was ideal as it was within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants and shops.

It's a great condo. Updated well, good spaces, very well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, utensils, spices, odds and ends that you don't always find in airbnb's), quality beds/pillows, quality bathroom supplies (soaps, towels, etc.). Great assortment of beach gear, beach towels, games, etc. Nice condo complex with very friendly staff. Only challenge we had was finding the actual unit. There's not really any signage on the street, which made us question whether we were in the right place. Cody's directions took us right where we needed to be, but we weren't certain until we eventually found one of the staff who confirmed to us where we could park and that the signs saying "private" were for our condo unit. Part of this issue was that we stopped to ask the gate staff person at "The Palms" directly across the street if we were in the right place and he didn't know. He was new so this was probably just a challenge for us specifically. Overall, great experience.
