Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Gulf of Papagayo

We were looking forward a remote location to settle for some months. This was a great sanctuary to be alone and explore the empty beach. The WiFi was very good , even when other local services were unavailable. The neighbour made us delicious food when requested. A great adventure.

Très beau séjour dans un endroit vraiment agréable. Nous avons bien profité de la grande terrasse et de la piscine. Comme la cafetière ne fonctionnait pas bien, Polino s’est empressé de la remplacer le jour même qu’on lui en a fait part. Étant située dans Pacifico, la maison nous offre la sécurité puisqu’il faut toujours passer à la guérite avec gardien pour accéder au site. Ce fut un séjour en famille inoubliable.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Stephen was a most helpful host and assisted us in making all of our plans for a short but fantastic visit to Costa Rica. The house is just as advertised, clean and spacious. The views are out of this world and the access to amenities on the resort are perfect. Quick trip to local beaches and restaurants and we even had time to prepare a few meals in the kitchen. We followed all of Stephen’s advice including a half-day snorkeling trip with Juan Carlos which was a home run! I literally cannot say enough good things about the experience I had with Stephen and his beautiful home. I just followed the playbook he provided during our pre-visit telephone call and everything worked out beautifully. Playa Hermosa’s beach is breathtaking and Stephen made all the right restaurant recommendations! I was looking for a simple and fun trip for my family of five and thanks to Stephen my plan came to fruition. So relaxing!

My family of 5 had an amazing time here! Our three boys (16, 13, and 8) loved the house, the pool, and the great vibe here. The house and surroundings are even better than the pictures, which is saying something since the pictures made it look like paradise. Monica was extremely responsive—more so than any host I’ve ever dealt with previously. They have everything you could possibly need for your stay. The area is gorgeous and Playa Grande is a cute town with great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Tuvimos el privilegio de hospedarnos en esta hermosa propiedad, ubicada muy cerca de Playa Grande. La casa es amplia, moderna y ofrece una vista espectacular durante el día, que permite admirar la belleza del mar y el entorno natural desde casi cualquier rincón. Uno de sus mayores atractivos es la piscina sin fin, desde la cual se puede disfrutar de uno de los atardeceres más impresionantes de la zona —simplemente inolvidable. Las cuatro habitaciones son espectaculares: amplias, cómodas y decoradas con muy buen gusto. La cocina está completamente equipada, con todos los implementos y electrodomésticos necesarios, ideal para preparar y disfrutar deliciosas comidas en grupo o en familia. Por la noche, la propiedad ofrece un ambiente de total paz, perfecto para meditar, descansar y desconectarse del mundo. La serenidad del lugar es inigualable. Además, Isacc fue un anfitrión excepcional. Siempre atento, amable y pendiente de cada detalle. Un lugar mágico e único!

This was the most beautiful and peaceful Airbnb my wife and 3 year old son have stayed in and truly feel lucky and honored to have stayed here. The attention to detail and decor of the home is something else, truly creating a unique Costa Rican experience. Enjoying the pool while watching the horses roam was a highlight and Isa and Jesus were always attentive making sure our stay was as comfortable and easy going. This was the 6th time we have come to this area and needless to say, we have found our home away from home and will only stay here from now.

Amplio parqueo, seguridad privada, excelente mantenimiento de las zonas verdes, áreas comunes y el apartamento todo muy nuevo. Excelente atención de Michelle.

El apartamento es súper cómodo y amplio. Está cerca de paradas de buses, panadería, supermercados, pulperías, restaurantes y la playa. John siempre estuvo atento a nuestras consultas. Definitivamente, volveremos y lo recomendamos!

This was one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at! I was traveling with my elderly parents and two kids (1 yr and 3yr) . The house was adorable, great art , comfortable sitting areas, the kitchen was well stocked, everyone had plenty of space. My parents stayed upstairs so could escape to quiet from kids! There were toys, books, cribs, high chairs, even floaties for the pool! When traveling with kids this is a huge plus to not have to pack these items! Very quiet neighborhood and really enjoyed hanging on the back deck! We walked to beach and restaurants with both kids and my parents no problem! Plenty of towels , and beach chairs! Very clean and Sebastian was super responsive and accommodating, we can’t wait to come back ! I would give 10 stars !! 🌟🌟🌟

Pictures don’t do this place justice. It is so nice! Very secluded and peaceful yet only 5 minutes from town with the golf cart (big hills to get there so you need some type of transportation!). Communication with Marco and Todd was above and beyond, they made sure we had everything we needed. We hired the private chef for one night and it was amazing! Really loved our stay ♥️

This was a wonderful place to stay for a night after flying into Liberia! It's in a very cute neighborhood with cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops just a quick walk away. The beach is also very close. Easy parking, a nice condo, and the kids loved the pool. Plus, we saw a giant iguana!

The place was perfect for our situation. We had a flight that was supposed to go to SJO and instead ended in Liberia, which resulted in us staying overnight. So we decided to have a few days in a beach town and stayed here. It was the perfect way to make lemonade out of lemons.

Alojamiento perfecto para disfrutar en familia o grupo de amigos, cada habitación con su baño respectivo, con cocina bien equipada y todos las comodidades que necesitas para relajarte. Fue un gran hallazgo y volveré sin duda!

Excelente hospedaje. Los anfitriones muy amables y dispuestos a todas las dudas. El hospedaje en excelentes condiciones de limpieza, orden, utilidades de cocina. La comodidad es muy alta en cualquiera de las opciones, tanto sofacama, literas y por su puesto las recamara principal. Destacable la limpieza en la cocina que está bien equipada y la limpieza del baño. La piscina es excelente para pasar un buen rato por la noche ya que es visualmente atractiva.

Desde los días previos, Coleen se mostró muy servicial con información clarísima sobre cómo llegar. Nos envió fotos, códigos y no dejó ningún detalle suelto. Inclusive se esforzó por suministrar un servicio de carga eléctrica, pero me di cuenta en medio del proceso que no iba a funcionar. En ese caso más bien debí advertirle antes, fue un error mío. Coleen estuvo accesible en cada momento y nos permitió hacer check-in desde tempranas horas, eso nos permitió llegar mucho más temprano y sacarle más provecho a nuestro día en Flamingo. Recomiendo muchísimo esta opción para quienes busquen algo cercano a la playa y en un lugar alejado del ruido.

Un lugar muy lindo, bien limpio, decoración muy bella completamente equipado tiene todas las necesidades, la comunicación y el acceso super fácil, importante valorar que está en un segundo piso sobre un centro comercial! Bajo el apartamento tienes, farmacia !

The little blue house is exactly what one needs. Has a working kitchen, quiet, and best of all the beach is right there. It was nice to have a peaceful place to return to after busy excursions into the cities or whatever else. Felt like a home away from home. Would definitely visit again

Una casa muy linda, muy limpia, tiene todo lo necesario y más, está a unos 35min de las mejores playas y el lugar donde se encuentra es bastante tranquilo. La anfitriona siempre atenta y responde prácticamente al momento. Lo único que le hace falta para que sea perfecto es que el parqueo sea cerrado, de resto ninguna queja.

Absolutely loved the peaceful, private location of this Airbnb! Bernd was very communicative and left detailed instruction of what’s around the area to what was available to use at the house. We loved so many things about this place the list would go on and on. Thank you Bernd for allowing us to experience such beauty.

This is a fantastic spot to stay at! The pool is lovely and it’s a very quick walk to the beach, the restaurants around are good, and there’s a grocery store right next door! The bed is extremely comfortable and it was so nice having a full kitchen. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Emily and Florent were super nice and helpful, we felt welcome and really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is perfect, a nice spot so sit outside, a comfortable bed and a kitchen with everything you need. It was very clean. We really enjoyed the pool. The beaches are very close by, we loved going to see the sunset in the evenings. We can only recommend this place.

Disfrutamos mucho nuestra estadía en el apartamento de Jairo y su familia. Fueron sumamente amables, responden súper rápido y nos dieron muchísimas recomendaciones de restaurantes locales para comer. El apartamento está muy bien equipado, está a 5 min en carro del centro de Liberia y el barrio es tranquilo y silencioso. Todo perfecto, sumamente limpio y ordenado. Volveríamos sin pensarlo!
