Johanna's place is a real oasis. There were many things that made it feel so: sleeping so close to the river, being able to wake up and walk down to the water, cooking in the open kitchen with a view, finding stillness in the garden so easily, practicing movement in the open shala while enjoying all the shades of green, the singing birds, the howling monkeys... Johanna was helpful and responsive in preparation of and during my stay. Her recommendations were spot on. I was also able to take a yoga class with her and other locals, which was really nice. The location is really good too: isolated enough from the busyness, but close to Guadalajara, Nuevo Arenal and Tilaran. This place is a hidden gem, I cannot believe how lucky I was to stumble upon it here. If you're doubting whether to book a stay here, just do it.

We had the best 7 nights here. The location is great, just off the main road so it felt secluded yet only 5 minutes to all the restaurants. All the staff, Oli and Emilie were so nice and helpful. Our room was large and had everything we needed. We recommend having their breakfast, it’s great value and good! We felt relaxed throughout, and there is a nice social area by the pool where me made friends with other guests. A nice community feel. We honestly loved it and would like to come again and bring friends. We also adored Emma, their wonderful calm dog ha!

This was our 2nd stay at Maria’s penthouse and it did not disappoint. It would be impossible to find another place around Jaco with better views from every room. Maria is a superb host who is always very fast and friendly in her responses. We can’t wait to be back again in the future.

Family stay with 2 children 6 and 8 years old. The sea view cabin is beautiful!!! The exceptional environment!!! we saw monkeys heard🐒🐒🐒 every day! The pool is nice and the water is hot! This is the best accommodation of our stay in Costa Rica! Vilage center 5 min walk away! Montezuma beach is beautiful and uncrowded. Our favorite part of Costa Rica😃😃! Thank you for hosting us

Beautiful clean lace to stay to surf Cedros and explore Montezuma and Cabuya!

We stayed here for a few nights with our two young children and it was exactly what we were looking for for a special get away and stay in the rainforest. We stayed in the jungle suite which felt like a treehouse, from which we enjoyed watching birds and feeling like we were in the trees. It was a beautiful and special spot, and we’re so grateful we came upon it and stayed there. Joanne and Simon are extremely welcoming and communicative. They shared suggestions for the area, and were eager to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They were particularly engaging with our children, who felt like we were staying with friends. Highly recommend this spot.

A great place with a nice pool and breakfast. The staff was friendly and the hotel is situated a short walk from the beach and bustle of the little village. I would definitely stay again.

This was absolutely perfect start to our honeymoon. So much wildlife right at the hotel, as well as national parks a walkable distance. Quepos had all we needed: super markets, smoke shop, eclectic restaurants, and activities. 10/10 would recommend

Such a unique experience to stay somewhere that supports such an important cause. Jaqueline was super responsive and made checking in a breeze. She had us phone her since we arrived after hours & guided us over the phone. When the room keys weren’t in the room as expected, Jacqueline came to the site after hours & delivered us a spare key. The tour of the animal rescue was very informative & conducted ethically so that guests do approach animals or the enclosures, but observe and learn about them from a distance. There is a lot of emphasis on animal welfare and preventing animals from becoming used to humans. My only complaints would be that the pool was overdue for cleaning & very green & the overwhelming abundance of bugs that got in our room was not ideal. We did visit in May so early rainy season, but some of the windows had little spots where the critters got in. The second night was better once we discovered those spots and blocked them. Definitely stay here! Bring bug spray!

Excellent accommodation located minutes from the beach and surrounded by restaurants to eat in the area. Parking is very close to the accommodation as well. The courtyard overlooks the forest where we could see monkeys climbing trees, something that seemed beautiful to us. Finally, Eva was very communicative at all times, willing to help us with all our questions. Many thanks, highly recommended

We had a beautiful time at Evan's place. We appreciated the flexible check in Cole provided us. I wish we could stay longer. The clean cabina was right on the beach and pet friendly! The salt water pool was so nice and the restaurant staff were super kind. Thank you Cole and Evan! We will definitely come back!

Raf and his lovely mother were so friendly and welcoming. Being long time locals he was amazing at offering the best places to hit. We experienced beautiful, peaceful beaches, and beaches that are best for surfing. We would absolutely stay here again!! Also, the tres gatos were so friendly and the cherry on top of the whole stay.

This was a beautiful home and will definitely book again! Home looks exactly as it does in pictures. The hosts were very helpful, friendly responded very quickly to any questions we had and were super accommodating! They helped us book our excursions and everything went smoothly. We felt right at home here and didn’t want to leave but we had to lol . Great option for a stay in La Fortuna, Costa Rica.

Very pleasant stay in beautiful peaceful surroundings. We are not golfers but enjoyed the beautiful beach. There were imperfections at the main gate because the QR code did not arrive at our place. Luckily, Teddy was on site and clarified the matter in 5 minutes.

This place was amazing, great view and very comfortable place among the jungle. The service was absolutely outstanding, very nice and welcoming. I strongly recommend this place and I would definitely visit them again.

We had an unbelievable stay at Yuri's in Tarcoles. We were over the moon satisifed with the accomodations and Yuri's responsivness to any questions we had. The area is peaceful, quiet and secure. We felt safe the entire time and away from the busyness to relax and enjoy. I would recommend this home to anyone. It was about one hour (when there is no traffic) from the airport and about 10-15 minutes from restaurants and the beach. Costa Rica was beautiful and we look forward to our return!
