Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Nestled in a Gulf Island cedar forest, our cozy cabin is a private, quiet, romantic, and peaceful retreat. Walking distance to nearby Sea Star Vineyards and Winery and amazing bluff hikes overlooking Saturna and other Gulf Islands, this cottage is the perfect getaway for couples or as a writer's or artist's retreat. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and welcoming. The cottage is an open concept building with a queen bed. The smell and sounds of the forest will bring calm, relaxation, and peace.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally located place. Approximately a 10 minute walk from Sturdies Bay terminal, come and unwind in this newly renovated, cozy, home away from home. Stay for a few days, a week or even longer and enjoy everything Galiano has to offer. After cooking a nice meal with brand new appliances, enjoy a peaceful night in with the wood burning stove .... or maybe head over to the Hummingbird and let someone cook for you! The Salty Goose is the perfect place to unwind with your loved one. Enjoy the ocean breeze from the balcony of our private cottage getaway. The beach and government dock are also located right across the street. Relax as you enjoy all nature has to offer; seal, deer, eagle and raven are all common sightings here. Our cottage is within walking distance to the Driftwood Center, Cidery, Marina, and Winery!

South End Cottage

Settle into a private cottage nestled atop a mossy knoll, where tranquility meets rustic charm. Perfect for couples or solo travelers seeking a peaceful getaway surrounded by arbutus and oak trees. We are located in the picturesque south end of Salt Spring Island, within walking distance of pristine beaches, forest trails, Ruckle provincial park, and various local farmstands.

Galiano Cabin Hideaway

The cabin has a double bed plus a twin size guest bed on the main floor, very comfortable accommodation for two or three guests. It also has a self contained second bedroom and bath on the ground floor with its own private entrance that is ideal for sharing with one or two guests. There is a $125 per night fee for this additional bed and bath.
