Very nice house with everything we needed. We had a great family weekend. The village is very friendly and full of life. We love it. Paula welcomed us very well and was always available.

Our stay was perfect. Teresa and Jorge are wonderful hosts, who have pampered us throughout our stay. They are always available and looking to satisfy any wishes or needs we may have. The house is really unique and special, full of history and beautiful decoration, antiques and exquisite details. Children and adults have been so comfortable with the pool, the weather, the barbecue, the outdoor furniture,... that we have enjoyed the house more than the obligatory tourist visits to the city and the area. 100% Recommended

All was perfect! We were warmly welcomed. She was incredibly sweet and communication went absolutely smoothly. Thanks to the breathtaking view, the Airbnb was one of the most beautiful we've ever stayed in. We were surprised with jam, fresh bread and cheese as a welcome – a really delicious and loving gesture. An absolutely beautiful house, situated in the Douro Valley. Incredibly peaceful location up in the hills. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped. The pool is lovely and was definitely needed as the weather was glorious. Lovely patio area to sit and enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Very responsive hosts - just a wonderful week away in Portugal!

The house is even better than it looks in the photos and description. Large and comfortable, with everything you might need. The outdoor space is great, there were 10 of us and there was space for everyone, the deck has wonderful views where we spent the afternoons and space for the kids to play and play ball. The beds were comfortable and since they were on the top floor, they allowed for a separation from the noise on the bottom floor. Carlos was always available, was a great host, with quick answers and always available. It's a place to return to as a group.

We had a wonderful stay at José and Anabela's property in Armamar. The hosts were incredibly nice, responsive, and always willing to help. The property itself was private and offered a peaceful retreat. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a relaxing getaway.

We spent a lovely couple of days on the Quinta. Carlos was very responsive and friendly and the house was well equipped and warm and cosy. The grounds are beautiful and our kids loved seeing the animals. It would be a lovely place to be in the summertime too with the pool. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay in Vela. Antonio and Mrs Augusta are great hosts. The house is very comfortable and had everything we needed.

Owner / host Henrique and his father Philipe are responsible and warmly responsive to their guests. A cozy and well-kept place, where we met several of the locals and enjoyed the small town charm of Cativelos.

It was only a one-night stay, but the space is very cozy, impeccably arranged and decorated. Immaculate cleanliness. The contact with Andreia was not in person only because of me due to the late arrival time and also very early departure time. Contact is always very easy and fast, whether by phone, messaging app (...) and even through the Airbnb app. An excellent place to discover the Serra da Estrela. I recommend it 100%.

The house is excellent, very clean, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. When we arrived, wood was burning in the fireplace and the house was warm. Near the house there is a shop and a cafe with wonderful local residents. We had lunch and dinner at the cafe, very tasty and budget. I recommend to everyone , we will definitely come back!

Mendo Castle provides a few quiet and relaxed days, in the midst of the nature and history of that locality, and Casa do Sampaio helps all this! A house with all the amenities! Would highly recommend this place! Clean, spacious, well-equipped kitchen, fantastic rooms and Wc's! All to spend a few unforgettable days! Attention and availability of D. Alice complements this description, a fantastic person!

I am afraid I cannot express sufficiently fairly how amazing our stay at Casa da Cruz Alta was. The house is absolutely wonderful, comfortable, cosy; the heating, the soundproofing, the equipment, the details, everything perfect! Not only did we have everything we needed as the extras and the surprises were so many that our stay couldn't have been more complete. The owners are super friendly and attentive, being obvious the taste they have in receiving well and providing a great experience. The breakfast left daily was to cry for more. Thanks so much for everything, we will certainly return!

We really liked the house and the host was always responsive and concerned

This is a very old house, located in a small farm town. The house is tucked in the back of the street and can be a bit hard to find. Luckily one of the friendly neighbors pointed me to the place and I just parked outside the house. I would recommend this house if you’re looking to experience what it’s like to live in a typical house in this area. Not the most modern but it’s fun for a short stay.

We had an amazing time here! Gorgeous views, lovely spacious and well set-up apartment but most of all the best hosts, Cristina was extremely helpful and welcoming, offering home baked cookies even! Additionally, Bruno as well as his parents were kind and welcoming. We tasted the farm’s wines and were happily surprised. The pool is amazing, the setting is most serene. We drove to the Douro river to visit some wineries and the drive is lovely. I can’t fault this place. Hopefully coming back soon!

The house was very clean and corresponds exactly to what is shown in the listing and photographs. Communication with Inês was always quick and effective. Check-in is simple, fast and autonomous. Check-out until 10 p.m. is a great bonus. The location is good, in a calm and quiet area. Very positive experience, I recommend it!
