Beachfront vacation rentals in Gruinard Bay

We had a great couple of days in Talmine. Jenny and Andy are lovely friendly hosts. The Wee Housie had everything as described and everything we needed. Very comfortable for us and our dog. The views from the front are stunning. Some great walks and trails around - we did Castle Vallich, around Tongue and then drove the loch. Great place to stop on our journey around the North of Scotland.

Great host and loved the location and accommodation. Garden was great for the dogs and chilling with a beer and beautiful beach 5 minutes across the road. Locals and neighbours were very friendly Travelled to John ‘Groats, The Black Isle and Nairn during our stay. Highly recommend as either a base for touring or just a peaceful break in beautiful unspoilt surroundings.

We enjoyed a delightful long weekend at Croft 41. The house was perfect for our needs (two families with kids), the location absolutely stunning, and the wood-fired hot tub was also real highlight! Rachel is a very friendly and communicative host. Would definitely return in the future if we were looking to stay in this beautiful corner of Skye.

The cottage was adorable and the location absolutely beautiful! We spent some time on the beach soaking in the sunset over the water. Phil was a fantastic host - super attentive and informative. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

This was one of the best AB&B we have stayed at. Such a warm and clean property, with views of the beach that were breathtaking! A great central location to explore the North Coast. Although very rural and quiet, there is a nice coffee hut a few minutes walk in one direction and a lovely camp site in the other, with a cafe, restaurant and pub. The owners live on the site but were never seen or heard and it felt very private. They were on hand if anything was required and gave lots of helpful information. Our dog Rusty absolutely loved the large lawned area at the front of the property, which was totally enclosed and secure. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the North Coast.

Me and my partner visited for 1 night after completing the nc500 and it was also my partner’s birthday. We absolutely loved this place, it had absolutely everything we could think of. Karen was brilliant with her instructions and the cabin was immaculate, everything was clean and smelt good. Hot tub was awesome and the views were fantastic. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would love to comeback again.

It’s a wonderful place to stay! One of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s also centrally located on the Isle of Skye, which makes it a strategic spot to spend a few days. The accommodation is perfect and very peaceful ! Thank you Mags

Beautiful, quiet location. Caravan is nicer than the pictures show. Evelyn is a lovely host. We walked up to the Old Man of Storr, walked the fairy pools, visited Armadale Castle Gardens and Portree where the IoS pipe band were playing in the square. Drove through Quiraing to the Fairy Glen. Nice ice creams and friendly service from the Market Kitchen, also the deli opposite and Broadford Hotel. Efficient service received from Skye fit garage. Overall a fabulous experience.

If relaxing is what you’re looking to do, then this place is perfect. Beautiful surroundings, even when it rains!! Definitely recommend the Plockton Inn for dining and drinks.

There is not enough space in this box for me to express how lovely Fiona and her cottage are! Everything is exactly as pictured (actually even more beautiful than pictured) and Fiona is lovely, incredibly responsive to any messages and happy to go above and beyond for any questions that I had. Everything in the cottage is clearly labeled with helpful instructions for use, and Fiona reviewed everything with me at check-in as well. I was traveling alone, and she checked in with me several times to make sure I was comfortable and ensure that everything was going well. A minor repair was needed while I was there and Fiona's husband quickly addressed it and was very considerate with ensuring the repair was done at a time that I would be out. The surroundings are peaceful and incredibly beautiful. I will absolutely be back!

Definitely a five star experience: we were having a great AirBnB stay. This apartment is in excellent shape, very clean and provides all accessories one can think of. The hosts were extremely friendly and very concerned about our well-being. We even have been surprised with welcome goodies. Great place to stay for Isle of Skye!

Perfect stay ! We had a tour and arrived to banana bread, pancakes and sourdough ! Great location just a short drive from Portree. Could clearly see the Storr from the bedroom window and the sea ! Amazing hosts would recommend :)

Der Aufenthalt bei Margaret hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wohnbereich, Küche und Bad waren sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Highlight waren auch für unsere 3köpfige Familie die beiden Schlafzimmer und das Extra-Bad im Obergeschoss, jeder Raum mit Ausblick. Während unseres Aufenthaltes haben wir den Norden von Skye erkundet und sind viel gewandert (Quirang, Old Man of Stor, Fairy Glen). Zum Abendessen würden wir gern The Galley empfehlen, sind aber leider nicht reingekommen - man sollte rechtzeitig reservieren. Die Alternative vom Anchor gleich unten am Pier war aber auch sehr gut.

We loved the quiet rural setting on the loch with colours changing in the light all day long. The villages and towns in the area had some good restaurants and we found many places for long walks. The facilities at the house were adequate for cooking and leisure. The only downside, which did not affect us really, were some peculiarities that we've never before encountered in the many airBNBs we have rented in the past: several rooms, closets and cupboards were locked and off-limits; and many rather unnecessary "polite advice" signs posted. In our previous experience, the number of guests has had no effect on access.

Practical and comfortable cabin to stay in and discover the Isle of Skye. Beautiful location very close to the sea.

Linden House 4 bedroom bungalow with two car park spaces. It is new property with fresh look from inside. Scenic view from longue. We enjoyed stay a lot.

One of the BEST Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed at in terms of thoughtfulness, cleanliness & instructions. Not exaggerating. The location & view is outstanding & the whole experience idyllic. They really did think of everything a guest could need or want while touring Isle of Skye. None of us wanted to leave & we all would go back. Easy checkin/checkout. Many recommendations & clear instructions. We were so grateful for all the thoughtful touches & uncluttered space. I think a highlight for our party was simply the layout of the downstairs which was perfect for a dinner in with a view. We just enjoyed spending time there & wished we could be there longer. Fantastic stay! The place was spotless, well-equipped, and everything was exactly as described. We were traveling with elderly family members, and the home was very accessible and comfortable for them. Couldn’t have asked for more. Would definitely come again!

Communication with the host was excellent — clear, prompt, and helpful throughout. The amenities provided made our stay very comfortable. We have just had a fantastic family holiday in Mark's beautiful house in Ardelve. The house is very spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with top quality furnishings and equipment and we especially liked the large living room, modern kitchen and using the games room. The house sits right on Loch Alsh and has incredible views towards the Five Sisters which have got to be up there with the very best in Scotland. The family made a lot of use of the loch to both swim and Kayak on and we managed to see a seal and a sea eagle every day from the house's large windows. Ardelve is also a wonderful location, as it gives you easy access to the Isle of Skye , loch Carron with the stunning village of Plockton and walking round the loch to the world famous Eilean Donan castle. Eating out and take away options in the area are also excellent particularly for seafood & fresh fish and is a must to try for any visitor. We loved our time at the But N Ben and will certainly return in the future.

A little piece of Heaven. Fantastic house, surrounding and view. We fought for the couch to bird watch over tidal pool. Can't say enough about this property and our host. Until next time.

Amazing location with beautiful views of the harbor from every window. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, great kitchen and spa like bathrooms. Every place was walkable and we loved our stay there.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was absolutely beautiful—immaculately kept, well-equipped with everything we needed and more. The location is stunning, perfect for exploring the surrounding area and Skye. Sarah Jane and Steve were lovely and always on hand if we needed anything.
