Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Unikt og familievenligt sommerhus. Huset består af to soveværelser og et stort og rummeligt køkken/alrum. Terrassen er stor og omkranset af en indhegnet have - velegnet til hund og børn. Haven er gået i skov med stier, der jævnligt slåes. Huset opvarmes med pejs, brændeovn og varmepumpe. Der er vaskemaskine og opvaskemaskine. Arresø ligger 5 minutters gang fra sommerhuset og 10 minutter væk ligger restaurant Tinggården. Området er præget af natur og sommerhuse og skønne strande i cykelafstand.

Very centrally-located place. Grocery shopping is also with in walking distance plus there are 3 small pizza restaurants and a local pub. Trains & Buses to Copenhagen and the North coast are only a 5 min walk away. District towns, such as Gilleleje with a beach and a harbour with a cozy atmosphere. Larger towns such as Hillerød and Helsingør both with historical castles and shopping . If you would like a nice day trip it is possible to take the ferry from Helsingør to Helsingborg in Sweden.

Du kan gå til en privat strandgrund med et stort græsområde med borde og bænke og en dejlig badestrand med badebro. Her kan du også se de mest fantastiske solnedgange i løbet af sommeren.
