Vacation rentals with a kayak in Greenwood Lake

Shiying’s house was perfect for our family get together. Everyone felt comfortable, the view was outstanding, we sat on the side deck for hours. We had plenty of towels, linens, kitchen was stocked, beds were comfy and the dining table sat all of us which is very important to us. And plenty of parking which is not easy to find on the lake!

Suzanne’s home is absolutely beautiful! We had a great stay, albeit cold and rainy during most of it. The well-stocked house allowed us to feel right at home and during the rain we played plenty of games of pool and darts. The kayaks were fun to take out and we even caught a few fish (although it did seem the fish were smarter than us- stealing most of our bait). The view of the lake is amazing, the area is quiet, and there is an eagle that hangs out on the rock just beyond the dock!

We had a great time at Luz’s place. She was very responsive and proactive. The place itself is perfect for a couple and the views/lake access are the biggest perk. Very close to many great restaurants (all within a 7 min drive) and not far from other great places if you don’t mind driving a bit further. It was the perfect place for a long weekend and we hope to be back soon!

A very lovely place to stay! The description matched the place exactly. We enjoyed spending a lot of time outside on the deck bird watching and even saw some fish jumping in the river. The property is also very private which was a huge plus -- no visible neighbors in any direction while spending time outside. Seth was a very responsive host and did a great job with the design of the house. There were lots of thoughtful touches that made the stay extra nice. Would love to stay again!

Steven was very responsive to any questions we had. The place was beautiful and peaceful. The hot tub was well maintained. The kayaks were fun. The outdoor area was beautiful and exactly what we were hoping for regarding privacy. All amenities were as described.

Staying at Jo's place was an absolute pleasure. The house itself was just as described and sits in a cozy area steps from Greenwood Lake. My fiance and I spent a week there and honestly felt as if it could be our second home. There was plenty to do at the lake where we swam, paddle boarded, and kayaked all around the beautiful water. Jo made sure that life jackets were provided for us and that they were the appropriate size which was incredibly thoughtful. She also gave us lots of recommendations for local places to eat and to see which was also very nice. Communication with her was top notch and was always comfortable. We will absolutely consider coming back to her beautiful home.

From booking through check out, Maureen was pleasant, communicated promptly and clearly, and had the house perfectly dialed in to accommodate our family. The house is situated on a large, beautiful lakefront lot with spectacular views, and outfitted for families and friends to have an amazingly fun experience, regardless of weather or time of year. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, or a lively time with friends, this place will not disappoint!

Great time with family- rained the entire time- best rainy vacation ever! We enjoyed fishing on the lake, hot tub was great, playing pool, family game nights and nearby hiking to waterfalls. Great family spot to bring dogs…Scottish terrier could do the spiral stairs immediately, big wirehaired pointer took a couple of days to conquer the stairs but he Did It! I would highly recommend if you want to spend time with family in a relaxing atmosphere!

We had such an incredible time! Truly a weekend of rest and relaxation. We loved getting a little tour of the farm, the animals, the location and the town. Would TOTALLY recommend. Ryan is also a fantastic host! Five stars all around.

We loved the place, it was a beautiful home with lots of light and accessible green space. It was perfect for a short getaway. It’s a short drive from nearby towns and was very easy to find based on the directions. Mark was a responsive and accommodating host and we had a wonderful time in his airbnb.

Such a beautiful location! My boyfriend and i loved our stay at Matthew’s airbnb. The lake is stunning and we had a great day kayaking. Would definitely book again!

Couldn't have been happier with this cottage. Modern appliances, beautiful surroundings, quiet, gorgeous view overlooking the lake. The kitchen and master bathroom were standouts. Would stay here again. Bob and Julie did a fantastic job communicating before, during, and after the stay.

I wanted a weekend getaway for my son’s 13th birthday that landed on Friday the 13th, I came across this cabin airbnb and decided to book and give it a try. this location is an hour away from our home and gave us that peace of paradise we were looking for. the cabin felt like home and had everything you can possibly need. I honestly wish I can give higher than a 5 star because this cabin was perfect. I’ll be booking again for a winter weekend getaway. thank you for hosting my family and I.

Michael and Dan were excellent Hosts! Beautiful location ! Lake front ! Beautiful lake house ! It had everything we needed ! Lots of fishing and relaxing! Our dog loved it ! Couldn’t have been better ! We look forward to a return trip next summer !

Great place. Fun water activities for the kids. Our dogs allowed to come was excellent. A little light on cutlery in the kitchen, but we made it work. Would recommend and would stay here again!

5 Stars – A Hidden Gem Over the Water! This over-the-water bungalow in Otego, New York, is by far one of the best Airbnb stays I’ve ever experienced. The peaceful and quiet setting made it the perfect escape, and being able to fish right off the deck was a huge bonus. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the place had all the creature comforts of home—cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. Michael and Courtney were amazing hosts—warm, welcoming, and responsive. You can truly tell they put their heart into making this place special. We’re already planning our next visit!

W’s place is great for a large family or group of friends looking for a getaway in a peaceful, private, retreat-like environment. The house has cozy Catskill cabin vibes with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, updated bathrooms and a variety of different spaces to provide a large group with opportunities to spread out and find quiet nooks and crannies when needed. The beautiful wooded setting is perfect backdrop for all the amenities — wood fired hot tub and sauna plus cold plunge make the property feel like a private spa. It’s very easy to stay on the property for a full day without leaving, however there’s also an abundance of local adventures to be had — hiking, swimming, fishing etc. Great place for outdoor enthusiasts. W is responsive and helpful in his communications.

We had a wonderful stay! It was the perfect place to do our 'digital detox' in a lovely cabin with plenty to do (ping pong, fire pit, hot tub and canoeing), and it was well situated to do short drives to hikes, the organic market, horseback riding and more. The house had everything we needed and we were very comfortable reading, playing board games, cooking and relaxing there. (The bedding was comfortable, too!) The hosts were friendly and gave great recommendations. We would definitely stay there again.

Julie's place was the perfect winter getaway. The fireplace, hot tub and sauna warmed us and the very well-equipped kitchen enabled us to prepare great meals. The house was beautiful, with two living rooms for different activities and energy levels, a game room downstairs, a dining room with a large table and chairs, and comfortable furniture and beds throughout. Julie texted me to make sure that our every need was met. We had a snow and ice storm, and she had the driveway and walkways plowed, shoveled and sanded twice, and kept plenty of salt on-hand. We hope to return sometime in warmer weather so we can enjoy the pond, too.

My partner and I couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. The cabin is tucked away, but Edward’s clear instructions made getting there a breeze. It was spotless, thoughtfully stocked, and we felt genuinely cared for. The lake water was crystal clear, with wildlife all around. We took full advantage of the kayaks, rowboat, floats, and fishing gear, and ended each evening watching the sunset from the dock. The neighboring cabin was occupied by Edward’s family, but they were kind, helpful, and never intrusive—actually, their presence added a sense of comfort in such a secluded spot. It was the perfect weekend escape. We hope to be back soon! Thank you, Edward!

My dad and I stayed in cabin # 2 for a night after competing in the Spartan Race in Bethel. It was the perfect place to wash all the mud off, grab a bite and rest our heads before driving home. The lake was perfect for my dad to fish and for me to read my book while he caught his biggest fish yet. The cabin was cozy and clean with very comfortable beds and couches with a rural upstate feel. Thanks a bunch!

From the moment we walked in we felt so at ease and at home. It is completely updated and looks like it a professional interior decorator designed it. The pictures don't do it justice. About 5 min from Bethel Woods which was fantastic. Would recommend this beautiful home 100%.
