Host Matt was very responsive on any questions I asked. Everything match the site.

We booked James’s place at the last minute, and we chose it for the location rather than the accommodation. However, when we arrived we had a wonderful surprise, because it was much nicer than the photos had let us to believe. It was spacious and comfortable, with a good-sized kitchen and a lovely sitting area. The kids loved having the playground outside, and it was amazing to soak in the hot tub surrounded by snow, watching the stars come out. We also enjoyed using the indoor swimming pool and games room, and visiting the ponies at the riding centre. The kids sledded down the hill outside and we also went sledding at Blackwater Falls, which was fantastic. The waterfall looked so beautiful with all the icicles. We didn’t have time to try Timberline, but the skiing at Canaan Valley was reasonably priced and great fun. We also had a few nice meals in Davis and Thomas, and a beautiful walk to Douglas falls. Overall, it was a fabulous stay and we will definitely come again if we can…

We stayed for a long weekend of skiing at Timberline. Had my teenage son and a few of buddies there, as well as my wife and daughter. Placed worked out great and the proximity to Timberline was great too. Not walkable to the mountain, but easy enough for everyone to throw on their gear, drive over and hit the trails immediately. Despite the absolute frigid temperatures (one morning was -7° F), the place was able to keep up with the heat and keep everyone comfortable.

Had an excellent time at the rental! Close enough to walk to Timberline, but with plenty of space and amenities. Would definitely recommend it!

Great place for a short family vacation!

Enjoyed my stay. Building is one half of a 2 unit townhome but felt very private, both inside and out. Hot tub and fireplace both were easy to work with clear instructions for hot tub use. Place was clean and cozy with comfortable beds. Location was convenient to the ski areas, and a nice view of Timberline was available through the trees from the back porch or hot tub area. The office for check in was about a 6 minute drive from the property, and check in was hassle free, with a simple pick up and drop off box for the keys. Matt was responded very quickly (less than 10 minutes) to a question I had while driving to the property. Kitchen appliances are a little old but everything is perfectly functional and well stocked in terms of dishes and cookware. It’s a great value and I would recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect size for 4 adults and 2 kids. The kitchen was well stocked. Timberline is within walking distance or a short drive. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of skiing.

Great place. Well maintained and nice decor. Plenty of space for 4 to 6 people. The view of the valley from the back porch is fantastic. Would stay here again.

My family of 7, 4 adults and 3 children, stayed at David’s home for four nights. The allotment was beautiful and very peaceful. There was a playground, tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, and a well-stocked fishing pond just a short walk away. The kids loved that! The house was very comfortable. Good WiFi and tv streaming. The kitchen had everything we needed and more (really enjoyed the espresso machine). We cooked all our meals there, except for the evening we used the communal fire pit for a hot dog roast. Be sure to check out the stars at night! All three kids slept comfortably in the bunk bed with the pull-out trundle. The beds in the other two rooms were also very comfortable. Loved the ease of the daily trash pickup! We enjoyed geocaching/hiking at nearby Canaan Valley Park, the Freeland boardwalk, and hikes to Blackwater and Douglas Falls. David was prompt and pleasant when answering texts. We had a great stay at his place and hope to return again!

We enjoyed our stay at Marcy's place. It is a wonderful location with a beautiful view of the mountains out the back windows. There was plenty of space for our group of six. My grandkids really enjoyed the toys provided and we enjoyed working one of the puzzles. The kitchen is very well stocked with much more than just the basics. The beds were cozy and comfortable. My husband particularly loved the shower in the downstairs bath. We would be glad to return again on another occasion!

Great location for all the local ski resorts. Nicely laid out resort and well maintained. Spacious accommodations and cozy warm radiant heating. Great communication from host too.

We loved our stay at Matt’s place- just enough space and very cozy. We were there for a cold front and it was very warm inside! We will stay here again.

We can’t wait to go back!! From before our arrival and during our stay, the hosts were quick to respond to any questions. The location is unmatched. Being steps away from the lodge and bunny slopes was amazing for our group. We could come and go to the house as we wanted for breaks. The lodge was a nice option for last-minute snacks or drinks we needed, like juice and milk for the kids once we ran out. Definitely recommend!

We had a great stay at Daniel's place for a long ski weekend at Canaan Valley. The town home has plenty of space. Easily sleeps seven with one room ideal for children with a bunk bed and double. Hot tub was hot and clean. Adjacent to Timberline and very short drive to Canaan Valley.
