Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Happy Valley is situated in the heart of the Normandy countryside at the end of a no-through road so no noisy passing traffic! It shares the site with our main home and 2 other gites. We're about 45 minutes from Mont St Michel; an hour from Bayeaux, Caen, Mayenne and Fougeres. It's another half an hour to the famous D-Day beaches. There are plenty of places to visit and things to do and of course lots of French markets and vide-greniers!

La rénovation a porté sur la mise en valeurs des matériaux naturels (bois, pierre) en ajoutant un côté moderne. Located halfway between Caen and Mont-Saint-Michel, in the southwest of Calvados, you will stay in a magnificent granite house (called the Bleu de Vire) from 1832 (classified as 3* furnished tourism). You will have access to almost the entire house as well as its beautiful one hectare garden, wooded and quiet, ideal for nature lovers.

The Firs

A renovated old cider barn, with plenty of original character beams. A cosy lounge and well equipped kitchen are found on the ground floor. Access to the first floor is up a spiral stair case, leading to a large open bedroom and bathroom, plus a separate Sipper bath located on a small mezzanine.

Château des Boulais Suite

The Château des Boulais, whose oldest parts date back to the 16th century, is set in a flower-filled park with a view and is conveniently located for exploring both Mont Saint-Michel and the D-Day landing beaches, visiting Granville, or enjoying the sea or the nearby golf courses.

The Japanese Pavilion

The Japanese Pavilion, modeled on Japanese ryokans, is an unusual eco-lodge, unprecedented in Normandy! It is made entirely of wood, on stilts, partly planted directly on our vast pond, towards which it offers a remarkable view. Zen atmosphere guaranteed!
