Charles and Carole are really very nice and welcoming people, the accommodation is well furnished for a couple, the setting is nice and peaceful, this is the second time we've rented it and I think we'll go back as soon as we need to.

I stayed at Stéphanie's place for the Festival de la Bande Dessinée d'Angoulême – it was exactly what I needed for a few nights' stay. Stéphanie picked me up and dropped me off at the station, which was very thoughtful given how busy the taxis would have been. The place is perfect, an independent addition to their home with its own entrance. The bed is very comfortable and the small kitchen has everything you might need. Stéphanie is very responsive to any questions, made sure I had all the information I might need and even left me some homemade fig jam. If you're coming without a car, it was easy to get to into the centre of Angoulême on the bus – the stop is less than 3 minutes' walk from the house. You can also walk into city, it's about 40 minutes to the Hôtel de Ville. Gond-Pontouvre is tranquil and an excellent oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the festival. All in all, an excellent stay. I would return without hesitation.
