Family-friendly vacation rentals in Gold Beach

This was a wonderful place! I loved the back yard and the amenities for the outdoor adventures. The house was impressively clean and the host was very friendly and helped with recommendations. This was my favorite Airbnb!

Our stay was great, Mathew was very quick to respond if I had any questions. The backyard was peaceful and the hot tub perfect. Would recommend to a friend!!

Our family of 6 loved staying in this home! It was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The kids loved seeing the horses, roasting smores, playing on the swing set, the basketball hoop there was just so much for everyone. We had everything we could’ve possibly needed and more, this exceeded our expectations!

Great place and extremely helpful/responsive host! Will likely stay here again someday.

The View is located in a fabulous spot, and we slept soundly to the rush of the ocean waves. The hot tub is very private, right off the master bedroom, and the back yard is wonderfully secluded with the hedges and fence. I liked the well stocked kitchen, the lovely deck and the peaceful surroundings. Just a couple minutes into town for shopping and restaurants. We loved it!

An incredible stay! A beautiful house nestled off a lovely river in a sweet neighborhood. Felt secluded and quiet. The river was wonderful for the children to play by - it’s a steep drop off but my three year old could do it with me holding her hand. And my pre teens could be down and up in seconds. The house felt like a sweet grandma cabin- every thing accessible was very clean, but the house was old and anything hard to reach was more worn. Honestly, it added to the charm. It didn’t affect our stay negatively, but I could see that they’ve tried hard to keep mold at bay, and cover up moldy spots with caulk. Pretty soon, they will need to truly renovate some things. It was so beautiful/ happy there we budgeted time to stay and enjoy the surroundings at the house. Lovely slanted light thru the windows, idyllic view out the living room and kitchen to the lake. 15 mins to redwoods and 10 to beach. We can’t wait to go again! It was a dream!

We love this lakehouse. It's a prime location for fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding or swimming. Kids loved fishing off the dock and caught lots of fish. House works well for multiple families staying together and host/ local caretaker were super flexible with us. Be aware the 3 rentals on this property all share the dock and lakefront space. Not a problem for us, everyone is quiet and friendly.

This place was so magical! The grounds were enchanting, beautiful and so relaxing! I did expect fairies and gnomes to appear! And the animals, the mini donkeys and dogs were delightful. It was so much more than we hoped for. We are already looking at dates to return. We did have a challenge with the water. It was completely, easily resolved but that can be stressful. Gratefully our host was incredibly responsive and kind. That is the measure of a fabulous host/property. It was the relaxing respite we needed.

This was our second stay with Mary and superhost Mousse. Mary has created a space that is beautiful and relaxing. The view to the ocean is incredible, especially from the deck. Mary provides a great experience and is always ready to offer local tips and other assistance. And nothing beats being greeted by Mousse, who is sweet and very charming.

ABSOLUTELY loved staying here while visiting the Redwoods! I have already recommended the place to multiple friends. Can’t wait for our next trip.

Extremely comfortable and well designed spaces with a great view of the distant pier and beach. Private location and amazingly quiet considering proximity to 101. Great place to stay to unwind and connect with another couple who met us there. Will look for an excuse to go back.

Great host! So accommodating and responsive:) anything we needed the host made sure to provide. The water heater started leaking and from experience I know that it was about to go out. Host had someone come out and check it, sure enough it needed replacement. Water heater was replaced the next day! Wow that would have been just awful if there was no hot water. What a great experience this has been. Thanks a million michele

This is the third time we've stayed at Susan's place. It's so cozy and feels like a home away from home. It's quiet and right by the ocean. Having the kitchen is a huge plus. We will definitely stay here again.

This little house on the river was great for our family. The house was very clean. The real prize here is the view, a lovely deck out back over looking the river, it was beautiful. The kids had fun wading in the river and we brought some tubes and floated around. The water is so clear. Would be great for fishing. The house is close to the north end of Redwoods State and National Parks and I would recommend Stout Grove. The kids loved it and it was magical. It's about an hour from the south end of the park and we had a great time there. It's also not far from the beach at Crescent City. It was a fun out of the way spot, still close to everything we came to do. We were there during a hot streak and it got a little warm at night. They have fans, but no a/c, just to keep in mind.

James was a great host and the accommodations were fantastic. It was an added bonus being nestled right in the forest and close to the Redwood National and State Parks.

A beautiful location. Truly perfectly centered and tucked away in the Redwoods. The perfect place if you’re looking to unplug! Outside of a couple cobwebs here and there (Completely normal considering it is located in the woods), this was a beautiful stay for me and my family! Highly recommend!

Great location and nice place to stay with group of 10 people. The hot water in bathrooms is kind of serially available to all bathrooms so if at a time two bathrooms are in use, the hot water was not available to both or only one bathrooms. Other than hot water, we had blast and i would recommend this place to anyone or i would love to come back and stay here again.

Our overnight stay in Chris’s unique ocean view bungalow was pretty sweet! We very much appreciated being welcomed with fresh flowers in the kitchen and a complementary bag of coffee.👌🏻 We were surrounded by many stunning pieces of uniquely made art which we really enjoyed! Even though we didn’t use the amenities, there are many! Everything is squeaky clean and in perfect order! The view from the giant windows in the living room is nothing short of breathtaking! The bed is, by FAR, the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in! Make sure to bring eye covers just in case the neighbors in the bungalow above leave their outdoor lights on all night.😅 And make sure to make reservations and enjoy an exquisite meal at Redfish just down the road!♥️💖

We loved our stay in Smith River! We stayed a bit longer term for about a month due to work. Rachael was always very responsive on messages any time we had any issues and ready to fix it. There was a couple small things that needed replaced in the kitchen and she swiftly sent us the things we needed to get things up and running. We didn’t use all the beds but I can say the room we stayed in had a comfy bed. One of the rooms our daughter used was a bit firm of a mattress. Overall a very positive experience, I would say a couple things could use some updating just due to wearing out over time such as sheets and towels, and then was a bit of a bummer that the yard was not mowed while we were there as it would have been much more usable for us and enjoyable for our kiddos to play in the nice little back yard :) not the end of the world but would have been nice. Very happy overall with our stay and would love to stay again sometime! Smith River is a very nice centrally located town too!

I really enjoyed my short stay here and felt well taken care of from the minute I parked my car to when I left. Very good communication and excellent spot next to the beach

We had such a wonderful stay at this beach house! The view was absolutely breathtaking — we could’ve spent all day just soaking it in. Beach access was super easy, making it a breeze to enjoy the sand and surf whenever we wanted. The kitchen was fantastic — well-equipped and perfect for family meals, which made our stay feel extra homey. One of our favorite parts of the trip was spending time in the garage playing ping pong — such a fun activity for the whole family and a great way to unwind after a day at the beach. There were so many thoughtful touches and fun things to do, it really made the trip special for all of us. Our host was amazing — super responsive, quick to answer any questions, and incredibly easygoing. She made everything simple and stress-free. We’d absolutely love to come back!

The cabin was amazing. Even better than the description and photos! It is so peaceful out there. The cabin had everything we needed and the yard and river were so fun for our whole family. I even made a silly mistake with our booking dates and Susan was so kind and accommodating in giving me a refund for the last night that I paid for but couldn’t use. You have to check this place out! We hope to be back.

what a gorgeous stay. everything was special. the cabin was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. comfy bed, pillows, sheets , and towels all fresh and pretty. The apple trees attract the deer. There's 3 who stick together. Collecting rocks and driftwood. It's a very short drive to the coast where those huge rock ... idk.. just gorgeous. I totally recommend this stay for solo or couples wishing to relax and relax.
