We wanted to spend a couple of days in the Douro valley rather than taking a day trip boat from Porto, and we drove to Peso da Régua. We stayed at Manuel’s place which is super clean, spacious and cozy, right next to a vineyard with nice views of the town. Manuel was very attentive, kind and polite. He recommended us places to go. We had a great time, and if you’re planning to visit Peso da Regua I highly recommend to stay at his place.

We loved sitting out on the veranda, listening to the birdsong and watching the boats sail by. The home is in a lovely location, completely surrounded by grapes (and the odd orange and lemon tree) on all sides.

A modern kitchen is presented with sleek gray cabinetry and a polished countertop. Appliances include a refrigerator, microwave, and oven. A well-organized arrangement of utensils is visible, with ample workspace and a small sink. Safety equipment, including a fire extinguisher, is also displayed.

Marisa was the absolutely perfect host, I can't believe how responsive and flexible she was on check in and every moment after! Lovely house, great sparkling clean pool and everything you could possibly wasn with regards to provision in the kitchen, bathroom etc. We loved our stay and highly recommend this property and Marisa to anyone looking to do the Douro Valley. Godim is a little out of the way but it has enough when you are out doing wineries everyday. The property was spacious, had a car garage, airconditioning was good and all the provisions in both the kitchen and bathrooms were perfect. We really felt at home. Marisa is the BEST host, she baked this amazing cake for us [which we ate!!] and had a fabulous hamper with wine and goodies to treat us while we stayed. We had a few questions in the beginning and she responded immediately and offered to come around anytime if needed. Really enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at Caroline’s place. The location could not have been more perfect for exploring the Douro Valley. We loved the terrace overlooking the river, incredible views. The apartment was beautifully renovated and spacious. I would highly recommend staying here if your travels bring you to the Douro Valley. Thank you for an amazing stay!
