Beautifully converted using natural building materials, the space is light, peaceful and open, heated with a cosy wood burner. The interior is handmade, restored or salvaged by us. We provide sourdough, homemade jam, a homemade tipple & a few staples on arrival. A rural retreat right in the heart of vibrant West Cork.

Mountain Ash Cottage

The stone cottage which is over 250 years old has been recently renovated and retains its traditional style: stone and white-washed walls, inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. There are also modern conveniences: heating, Wifi, TV with Netflix and fully equipped kitchen. Downstairs there is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a vaulted ceiling and the bathroom. Upstairs is a cosy double bedroom. Charming Cabin at the Foot of Douce Mountain

Douce Mountain cabin is a charming self contained little house situated at the foot of Douce Mountain. There is a living space with a stove and a kitchenette on the groundfloor . A ladder leads the loft with 2 beds. It is a very quiet place surrounded y nature. Our other guesthouse is about 100 metres further down . Our own farmhouse is about 500 metres away. It is ideal for someone looking for a very quiet place to relax and immerse themselves in nature.

Glengarriff Lodge, or what used to be Lord Bantry's Cottage, is a luxury self-catering space hidden away on a secluded, leafy island surrounded by 50-acres of ancient oak woodlands in Glengarriff, West Cork. The estate was the location of a former hunting lodge for the Earls of Bantry and offers guests a rare glimpse of a truly magical part of old Ireland, in an absolutely gorgeous and pristine setting with privacy and comfort.

Our homely one bedroom apartment is perfect as a base to explore the Wild Atlantic Way. Just a short drive from Glengarriff village where you will find the famous Garnish Island, Glengarriff Nature Rreserve, Bamboo Park, restaurants, shops and bars. We are also very central for exploring the Beara peninsula, Bantry, Kenmare and Killarney.

Our private cabin is four miles outside the heritage town of Kenmare, its 50 restaurants and its fantastic music. The Wild Atlantic Way, the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara are on our doorstep. You can't see the lights of any other houses from here. Peace and tranquillity guaranteed.

The Byre - a rural escape near Bantry in West Cork

The Byre at O’Brien’s Cottage nestles in the hills of West Cork 13km from Bantry. This traditional stone building provides ground floor studio accommodation. There is a king-size bed and a double sofa-bed which can accommodate an extra 2 guests if you don't mind a bit of a squash!
