What a lovely lake cabin escape! Gilbert was communicative and very accommodating. We really enjoyed the kayaks, fire pit, and relaxing on the dock. The place has all the essentials and cute rustic charm. I’d definitely stay here again!

Stayed for three nights with perfect weather and perfect accomodatiins . Spent many hours in the river, on the swing and in the game room. We absolutely love it there and hope to come back someday soon. Thank you

We enjoyed a relaxing 3 night stay in Bobby and Dina’s beautiful, river house and they were the perfect hosts! They were very responsive to questions and even offered area suggestions including a wonderful local butcher, for our BBQ night on the deck, listening to the peaceful sounds of the river. This home had everything we needed to prepare meals, very clean and tastefully decorated. We highly recommend this home for your trip to the Murphy area and would love to return when we have more time to fish & kayak!

This was the perfect place for our family vacation! We enjoyed the neighborhood amenities (beach club and marina for a fee but totally worth it!) and plenty of hiking trails. The house was better than the pictures! Beautifully renovated and very comfortable. We also appreciated the location of the house within the neighborhood- not too far from the main entrance and no scary drive up a mountain! Would definitely come back!

This trip was a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday, and exceeded my expectations. We had a great time! One of the best experiences we've had so far. We loved the lake in the backyard. He fished morning, afternoon and night and caught many nice size fish. The pool table was a great addition, after the sun went down. We actually were able to relax and enjoy a quiet weekend, fishing, playing pool, and watching movies as planned and expected. Our hostess was the sweetest. We really enjoyed ourselves and definitely want to come back. Everything was great.

We had a great time on our impromptu trip to the lake. The house was clean and the sunsets were beautiful from the dock.

Patsy’s place was the perfect weekend getaway for our family. Seeing it with our own eyes was even better than the pictures on the listing. Beautiful lake front. Multiple outside dining and grilling spaces and a dock. There were only 4 of us but 3-4 more peeps could’ve joined us comfortably. Patsy was great with communicating and answering our questions. We would come back.

Great location and very peaceful. Short walk to the lake. Well equipped cabin and is very clean and comfortable. Great comma from the host. No issues during the stay.

Great get-away for a family! Lots to do on the property, you can fish, swing, look for salamanders in the creek and look at the waterfall. Sitting by the firepit watching the river go by was relaxing.

Anya was an excellent host. We stayed at this listing for a wedding weekend. We had some tuxes mailed to the house and Anya and her husband ensured the packages were safe and delivered to us, her communication was always great. The listing itself was incredible. Definitely a place to stay for a big group. 10/10 recommend!

This was our 2nd stay at Sweetwater Cottage & the view & lake access were just as fantastic as we remembered from 4 yrs ago! We had plans to do some daytrips to nearby areas but ended up boating, towed tubing, fishing, kayaking, & paddle boarding… never left the cottage all week. We appreciated having access to the kayaks & paddle boards along with some additional water toys available for guests stored in the garage. The kids were thrilled that they actually caught some fish right off the dock! We ate out only once during the whole week for breakfast at The Sawmill Place (delicious food, great service, recommended by our host). We ate all other meals at the cottage (including lots of grilling). A nice selection of spices & a well equipped kitchen were very convenient. We bought food to cook at Ingles but otherwise the cottage had everything we needed for a great family trip (including 3 bathrooms). Loved the trees on each side of the property for excellent privacy.

Our stay at Leza’s cabin was nothing short of perfect! The location is wonderfully secluded and peaceful, offering a quiet escape surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The scenery is very pretty and the setting is ideal for anyone looking to relax and unwind. Leza was an exceptional host—her communication was prompt, clear, and friendly. She was incredibly responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The cabin itself was well-equipped and thoughtfully prepared, providing all the comforts of home. Wonderful stay! We experienced privacy and a peaceful getaway which is exactly what we were hoping for! I will say there are surrounding houses but in our 2 stays this far we have not encountered other guests. The hot tub was amazing and very relaxing. We loved the kayaks and there are multiple locations to go fishing. It’s about 30 min off the main road so plan accordingly as far as packing enough food so you don’t have to make little trips. We planned food and used the grill often. WiFi was great as well! If you’re looking to go hiking there are multiple trails close-ish by. Usually 30min-1.5hr drive.

WOW such a great escape from the city with our family and friends. Being able to play, eat, and just have a cup of coffee outside and listen to the sounds of the river was so peaceful. Chelsea did everything possible to make our trip great- including ordering fishing rods and a tackle box so my young son could experience fishing for the first time. Also the Blackstone grill was a huge surprise for us and we used it to grill almost every meal!

We had a great girl’s weekend at this cabin! The home was well appointed, clean, and cozy. The kitchen was stocked well and had everything we needed to cook a few simple meals while we were there. We enjoyed sitting by the lake, relaxing in the hot tub, and fishing off the dock. It was close to downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge & not too far off of the main roads which was convenient. I hope to return again!

We had a great trip to Elijay. The cabin was so comfortable to fit 3 families (6 adults, 3 kids, 2 babies). The property is beautiful. We loved sitting in the porch, kayaking in the river, and hiking at near by trails. We definitely want to come back!

There were 2 couples that came with us to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and it was SO relaxing. We didn’t leave the cabin once until we checked out. We fished, kayaked, enjoyed the hot tub, &grilled out yummy dinners both nights . Had so much fun with game night on the screened in back porch at night . During the day we created an Olympic type game and teamed up to play all the fun things that were at the cabin. Corn Hole, darts, &ping pong. We had a blast! It was so pretty being on the lake. We are definitely planning another trip soon! Mae was so helpful, and kind. She let our friends check in early to decorate so we could surprise my boyfriend(he had NO clue they were coming) it was AWESOME!! Thank you for a fun memories :) you have a beautiful cabin!

We had a great stay at Whiskey Cheeks! I think we made use of almost every fun game and amenity they had. Our kids loved the playset and hot tub, and our whole family enjoyed the yard games like giant Connect Four and card table. We also enjoyed the upper deck for eating and relaxing. You can hear the creek from the back porches, and you must walk down and see it - beautiful! We appreciated little touches like the pack n play and highchair, and full bottles of soap and shampoo. The hosts were very responsive when we had questions, and check in and check out was very easy. We had way less to do for cleanup than most Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at. Of note, the listing does mention the steep steps, but they were a little steeper and narrower than we anticipated. It wasn’t a problem for us, but we did not feel comfortable carrying our toddler down them. We walked her around the outside instead. I think the steps would pose a problem for anyone with balance issues or young children.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin was perfect and exceeded our expectations. We loved the area and all the beauty we were surrounded by. We can’t wait to return to our new home away from home cabin in Ellijay.
