Studio apartment at the foot of Wartburg

Entire, independent studio, 52 square meters, with well-equipped, integrated kitchen, hallway and bathroom. The location is ideal if you want to explore Eisenach, the Wartburg or the hiking opportunities on foot. (Bachhaus Museum, market and Luther House 10-15 min., Wartburg: about 35 minutes (forest path), train station: about 15 minutes Hiking: The forest begins right behind the house and many hiking opportunities are in close proximity. I am happy to provide tips and information. The windows of the studio face the courtyard, which is partly green and serves (largely) as a parking lot. Various restaurants and cafes are on the way to the nearby city center (about 6-10 minutes' walk). The surrounding southern quarter is the preferred residential area of Eisenach and is worth seeing for its many Art Nouveau villas alone. In winter, the historic Christmas market on the Wartburg is a special experience (on all weekends in Advent). If the nearby Prinzenteich (2 min.) is frozen, it is visited by young and old for ice skating! The studio (non-smoking), which consists of a large room with integrated kitchen, offers space for 2 people (1.40 m x 2.00 m) on a comfortable sofa bed. Since inquiries keep coming, there is now the possibility of a 3rd sleeping place on a guest mattress. Coffee and various types of tea are freely available. Linens, towels and hair dryers are provided. Also of course: rinsing utensils/dish towel, toilet paper, soap, shampoo/shower bath. Guests arriving by car have a private parking space right in front of the entrance. Notice: actually the studio is not available on Wednesdays, (arrival Wednesday-evening is sometimes possible). Exception: school holidays. Note: With the exception of Thuringian school holidays and public holidays, the studio will not be available on Wednesdays from 4 PM to 6 PM. If your stay includes a Wednesday, you will receive a delicious breakfast as a small compensation. Just let me know your preferred day before arrival.

If you are longing for a break and want to enjoy the luxury of simplicity in a special atmosphere, this is the place to be. The lovingly designed showman's trailer with wood stove is located on a heritage-listed artists' farm (built in 1805). In the warm season, the Wilde Werk – a creative meeting place with a kitchen, studio and plenty of room to linger – invites you to enjoy, work or be creative. Whether you want to slow down or go hiking in the nearby Geo Nature Park – both are possible here.

The newly renovated apartment is located in the east of Eisenach, in the green and quiet Karolinental. On foot, you need 15 minutes to the old town and 10 minutes to the train station. Eisenach's sights, such as the Wartburg and the Drachenschlucht, are easily accessible. We offer you: a separate small kitchen (fully equipped with fridge, microwave, ceramic hob) and a bathroom with tub, as well as a room with a new box spring bed (140 × 200 cm), TV, Wi-Fi, large wardrobe and seating for dining.

The mezzanine apartment is equipped with a king-size bed, sofa bed and crib, washing machine, dishwasher, separate bicycle storage, etc. The southern quarter includes the colonies of Predigerhöhe, Marienhöhe, Karthäuserhöhe, Mariental as well as areas at the Rhododendron Garden and the Waldschänke, the area below the Wartburg.

Vacation in the countryside

On our listed 300 year old farm we offer: two separate apartments for each 4 persons, with kitchen-living room, bathroom and bedroom with two floors each and about 50 square meters each. We are situated in the Südeichsfeld, a plush hilly low mountain landscape. Nature and surroundings invite you to hike or cycle. Draisine riding, visiting castles, climbing forest, a visit to the bear park Worbis or excursions to nearby half-timbered cities are popular excursion destinations.

Welcome to our 130-year-old half-timbered house at the foot of the Wartburg! Once used as a smithy, it now offers a family-friendly vacation rental with a full range of amenities. It is centrally located in Eisenach, with short distances to the city center, shopping options, tourist attractions, and the unique natural beauty of the Thuringian Forest! Our children's room is located directly above the vacation rental. We do our best, but some noise may still be audible.

A getaway – “La Casita” garden house in the countryside

Wooden house 13 sqm in the middle of our large orchard with mini kitchen, wood-burning stove, outhouse and solar power. There are 2 beds that can be set up as a double bed or single beds. Consciously kept simple, no TV and Wi-Fi, but plenty of PEACE and NATURE. The garden with swing, fireplace and teepee (in summer) is available. The house is 30 m away and there is a shower room that can be used from 7:30 am to 10 pm and where the dirty dishes can be handed in.

All famous sights, such as Wartburg (Unesco World Heritage Site), Bach and Luther House, City Palace, Fraternity Monument, Dragon Gorge and the Automobile Museum are within walking distance. Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.
