Thank you to Matthew and the team for such a lovely stay. Matthew went above and beyond for the duration of our visit, even giving us a lift to the local winery. The villa was exactly as pictured and beautifully maintained. The host welcomed us with pastries and local delicacies, which were even topped up during our stay when the villa was serviced. Whilst in a peaceful and quaint location, a car is necessary to explore the island and all it has to offer. Public transport does exist but is infrequent and not always easy to understand. Definitely worth a trip to the traditional bakery located a few minutes walk from the villa. Although we had a fantastic time in the hot tub and pool, the hot tub could definitely have been hotter. Overall all I would recommend this to everyone, and we will certainly be returning to Doro Gold Villa! Thanks again! Emma and friends

Séjour très agréable chez Irène. Maison très bien située au milieu des oliviers et à proximité de beaucoup d endroits. Irène est une personne très accueillante, gentille, attentionnée.....nous avons eu droit à des petites spécialités en arrivant et en rentrant le soir.... je recommande grandement . Merci Irène

Eine Unterkunft mit einem wirklich atemberaubenden Ausblick. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Unser zweijähriger Sohn hat sich auch sehr gut zurecht gefunden und mit uns am Pool gespielt, man sollte aber natürlich immer einen Blick drauf haben . Insgesamt wirkt die Unterkunft deutlich großzügiger als auf den Fotos und ist bestens ausgestattet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Es gibt sogar Hanteln für Sport und Stühle und Schirm für den Strand und ein Töpfchen für Kinder. Die Kommunikation mit Eleni lief sehr gut. Sie hat immer schnell reagiert und alles möglich gemacht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Perfect place to stay while in Chania and exploring Crete. Close to everything but on a charming quiet street tucked away from the noise and crowds. Next to some of the best restaurants in town. Apartment was private, spacious and very clean. AC worked great. WiFi was ok. One thing to note is stairs are steep and second bedroom is accessible through the first bedroom, up another flight of stairs and , detached and on the rooftop space with a nice seating area and hot tub. Everything was great though and would highly recommend!

Lieu accueillant et paisible, avec le jacuzzi qui est un vrai plus. Deux vraies chambres et une climatisation appréciable. Christine et Nikos (si je l'écris correctement) ont été aux petits soins avec nous. Très bon contact et communication. Lieu idéalement situé entre La Canée et Kissamos.

Se cercate una casa per stare in tranquillità e relax, questa fa al caso vostro. Inoltre è fornita di tutto ciò che vi può servire, ma anche di più. Ampia, spaziosa e arredata davvero con gusto. C'è gran cura anche nei particolari. Ovviamente occorre avere un' auto per muoversi agevolmente. Sofia è una persona speciale, è sempre stata disponibile con noi. Grazie!

If you're looking for a place where you can find peace and get inspired, this is definitely it. I love that this place is an authentic village where you can really experience the local Cretan life. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. The house is so interesting with lots of old photos and history. Some of the best beaches are just a few minutes away. I wouldn't recommend Elafonisi, it's really windy and sooo many people. Kedrodasos beach was probably our favourite but be ready for a steep walk up on the way back.

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. As someone who’s constantly traveling for both work and leisure, it’s rare to come across a place where everything is so well thought out that there’s nothing to comment on, in the best way. This is genuinely one of my favorite stays. The location and views are magical and the attention to detail across the property is impressive. The pool and garden were always perfectly maintained and for a mountain spot, it’s not easy to find such clear, bug-free water. The team on site was great, always helpful without being intrusive. The food at the restaurant isn’t fancy but it’s honest, home-cooked, and made with care. Thank you for everything, I’d definitely come back and already started recommending it to friends.

Beautiful place, great for families. Lots of toys and even a potty for the kids! Cleaner came mid week which was not necessary but so great. Beach is a 3 min walk. Really need a car to get there which was fine for us! Thanks for everything.

We had a wonderful, peaceful & relaxing week in this beautiful house. Amazing location, stylish, spacious, comfortable & very well-equipped. It’s 3 minutes from the small town of Sellia (3 or 4 nice traditional restaurants & small but useful supermarket), 10 minutes from the bigger (seaside town) of Plakias (many restaurants, 2 big supermarkets, butcher & baker), yet out on its own: utterly quiet & private and with beautiful, uninterrupted views of the sea. Cordula - who created this fabulous place, from ground up & with incredible attention to detail, is a perfect host. She couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful: at all stages proactive, quick & very clear communication and always concerned about our convenience & comfort. Our flight time meant we didn’t arrive until 8pm & Cordula offered to order & collect food from one of the excellent local restaurants & keep it warm in the oven, so after a long & tiring journey our holiday started straightaway. We would love to return.

Fantastic villa, beautiful rooms & pool area and wonderful and attentive hosts! We had a great time start to finish, and the villa was in a fantastic spot, and couldn’t recommend more! We had a slight issue with the internet being slow so that would be the only thing to bear in mind when booking if you work remote/ need wifi often, the only place we could get connection was the cellar, so I think a couple wifi repeaters would go a long way!

Absolutely incredible stay at the villa very opulent from the minute the gate opens . So spacious,5 of us stayed for 1 week and the villa was just perfect. A gorgeous boho chic, well designed apartment. The host and her husband were so very welcoming and gave great advice, some of the restaurants she recommended were really good and we visited a few gorgeous beaches on their recommendation too. Everything you need in a holiday home! We had a car to explore but you could walk to lots of good local restaurants or hop on the bus. The hosts own restaurants was very good too. The outside areas and pool was really nice. We never had a bad meal and would definitely return to beautiful Crete and her very chic comfortable apartment ☺️☀️

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt bei Sifis. Obwohl die Unterkunft klein ist, war sie wirklich fein und gemütlich. Wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit Sifis lief schnell und freundlich.

Wir hätten uns den Aufenthalt nicht schöner vorstellen können. Ein absolutes Stück Paradies, ganz privat mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht. Wahrlich einzigartig! Die Unterkunft hat alles, was man braucht. Eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, sodass man selber kochen und grillen kann. Alles ist sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl! Stella und ihr Ehemann sind unglaublich herzliche, gastfreundliche Menschen. Zu jeder Zeit haben sie ihre Hilfe angeboten und den Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem gemacht. Sie überraschten uns gleich zwei Mal mit leckeren selbstgemachten Speisen, stellten Wasser, Obst und Frühstück bereit. Wir werden die beiden und den Ort nicht mehr vergessen und kommen sicher wieder. ❤️ Wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen!

Het is een heerlijke plek op slechts een paar meter van de zee. Rondom het huis zijn verschillende zitjes, zodat je altijd een plekje in de zon of juist schaduw hebt. Het voelt echt als een paradijs op aarde waar je heerlijk tot rust komt. Het is zeker een plek om nog eens terug te komen

We loved this place. The balcony was very large with a direct view of the sea. There was a natural swimming area in front of the place that was perfect for a dip anytime. The sunsets were amazing. It is close enough to walk to the Chania city center, but a car is recommended to visit the many beaches on the island. Elpida was always available for any guidance that was needed. The place is a gem we hope to visit again!

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

10/10 experience. Breathtaking views and sunset from the balcony, perfect location right on the harbor - surrounded by all of the best restaurants and places. The apartment is beautiful - clean, modern, great appliances. (The washing machine even uses AI). The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and despite being in the middle of the action, it is so peaceful. I didn’t want to leave. I will be back here again. The hosts were incredible. Kind, helpful, proactive, and made such a nice experience for us. Thank you!!!!!

Hôte très accueillant aimable et sympathique Toujours très réactif et de très bon conseils. L’endroit est calme et paisible au milieu de la colline entouré d’oliviers…. La maison était très bien décorée et avec beaucoup de charme. Si vous aimez les animaux, de jolis petits chats étaient présents. Tolle Unterkunft mit spektakulärer Aussicht - Kommunikation, Check In, Aufenthalt waren super easy! Drumherum wohnen einige Menschen, die auf den Außenbereich schauen können, was uns wegen der wenigen Menschen, die zu der Zeit da waren, nicht gestört hat. Die Unterkunft ist umgeben von einer tollen Landschaft, der E4 geht direkt am Haus vorbei. Allerdings sind die Strecken zu den Wandergebieten wie zB das White Mountain Reservat oder der höchste Berg Kretas nicht unter 2 h mit dem Auto erreichbar. Wir haben uns insgesamt super wohl gefühlt und würden wiederkommen :)
