De Boomgaard (The Orchard) is in the walled garden of an 18th-century house on the legendary Vecht River, where Dutch country life was born. The b&b is a complete cottage of great charm and comfort. Guests have their own entrance, with free parking a few steps from the door. They have their own entirely private bathroom and kitchen.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Fons ist sehr nett und schnell erreichbar, falls man Fragen hat. Unser Highlight war, dass das Haus direkt am Wasser liegt sowie die Sauna.

Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt! Die Gastgeberin war einfach großartig – herzlich, hilfsbereit und von Anfang an herrschte ein freundschaftliches Verhältnis. Die Lage ist super, alles war gut mit dem Auto oder der Bahn zu erreichen. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über die frischen Eier und den kleinen Glücksbringer – eine liebevolle Geste, die uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder! Anja & Markus

Wir haben eine erholsame Woche mitten in wunderschöner Natur verbracht. Empfehlenswert besonders für Radtouren und Wanderungen. Von den Städten Breukele und Woerden (jeweils 15-20 min mit dem Auto) kommt man mit der Bahn einfach und schnell z.B. nach Amsterdam, Rotterdam und Utrecht. One problem, it's quite dark. The lamps are all dim, and there's only one spot you can read a book, and I had to be careful of not banging the living room ceiling lamp with my head. The kitchen is poorly lit too. But everything else is great.

It was especially meaningful to return to Woerden, a place we once called home, and see how much has changed. We were in town for a family reunion and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
