WOW...WOW...WOW!! To say this place is amazing would be an understatement and there is no one word that would describe it all! It is absolutely stunning! Our stay at Troy's beautiful home was simply perfection in every way! it is an absolute must see and must stay and I am honored to be the first guest and write this spectacular review for a place so worth it! The neighborhood: Extremely safe, relaxing, and quiet - a retreat away from all of the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to Port of Spain and Maracas Beach. Nestled in a beautiful neighborhood with mountain views, this place is a hidden gem and we definitely have found a treasure with this one! The host: Troy is awesome, flexible and extremely accommodating! Communication prior to our arrival and during our stay was easy and he was always accessible. We had some changes with our travel dates and Troy was more than understanding and accommodating to our requests, he made everything super easy. We met Troy on the first day we arrived - he showed us the space, gave us the keys, and instantly made us feel as if his home was our home. He checked on us throughout our stay and even met him and a few of his friends out for drinks during the latter part of our stay! Troy is a real cool dude and so happy we got to spend some time to get to know more of him. The space: Incredibly beautifully designed, stylish and modern furnishings with a contemporary chic flair - this place is incredible! Open and airy with the most gorgeous natural light shining through every nook and cranny. Extremely spacious with captivating decor and intriguing pieces of art to visually indulge in. So many areas and spaces to just simply relax, enjoy, and appreciate the true beauty of this home! Every single area brought a level of peace and comfort and we were simply blown away, it was truly love at first sight. The kitchen is a dream!! Equipped with everything...and I do mean everything, for all of your cooking needs. Two large ovens, spacious refrigerator/freezer, gas stove that cooks to perfection, plenty of cabinet space, a beautiful kitchen island perfect for prepping meals with a bonus built in wine chiller! Plenty of utensils, cutlery, pots/pans, and a fancy Ninja coffee maker that served us the perfect brew every single morning! The living room/TV room: sooooo comfortable! Many of days/nights we just chilled and both of these spaces were shear perfection for relaxation and/or conversations! Perfect size smart TV with access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. The bedrooms/bathrooms: Roomy and spacious with comfortable and relaxing beds for a restful night. Every room has air conditioning, a TV, and adequate space to unpack and unwind. The bathrooms are beautiful - tiled walls with glass shower doors, one of the rooms has an ensuite which is absolutely perfect. There is also a bonus room/office space with a desk and comfy couch - perfect for work or study. Outdoor area: Large and spacious! We fired up the grill one night and enjoyed the night breeze with a clear view of the stars! The patio is meant to be enjoyed and that's exactly what we did during daytime and night. How do I rate the space and our overall stay? A PERFECT 20 out of 10!! Airbnb only allows up to 5 stars for ratings but Troy's home deserves well beyond that! We were not disappointed one bit - this place does not owe us a thing!! While I would love to keep it all to myself, it would be impossible to not recommend so you too (future guests) can enjoy and experience the same amazingness we did! Troy's place is a hidden gem and we have definitely found a treasure! BOOK your stay...you won't regret a single moment of it! I absolutely loved my stay! The home was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and the host was responsive to my needs. The listing pictures didn’t do this place justice, it is stunning. And having a full bathroom for each of the 3 bedrooms and a well maintained pool made this place perfect for us. Note that the home was not hard to find, but the roads leading to it are sometimes narrow and steep. But because of the altitude, you have the most amazing view of downtown Port of Spain! So worth it! I loved my stay there and would return to Roba’s place again and again!

Catherine’s place was just as described. She was extremly accomodating and her staff was very helpful. Her place is ideal for large groups and get-togethers. We felt right at home and would definitely reccommend.

We really enjoyed our stay DDI. The indoor and outdoor space was spacious and accommodating for our group of 10. A great private place to cook, lounge, swim, and take in the views! Thanks Sam!

the place was amazing to stay in . the picture look exactly like it is. the locks require a key to lock the doors from the inside and, bars on all windows making you feel extra safe. the location was perfect for all our carnival events. and a local market and food was steps away. loved this place and I would use it again as per me and my 5 friends.

Maurice was an absolutely fantastic host for our large group during Carnival season! From start to finish, he was incredibly responsive—before and after booking, as well as throughout our stay. He went above and beyond by helping us coordinate grocery pickup and even greeted us in person, which made us feel so welcome. The house was even more stunning in person, thanks to recent renovations, and the layout was perfect for our group. The housekeeper was warm and friendly, and she did an amazing job with our mid-stay cleaning. Our experience couldn’t have been better, and I would absolutely rebook with Maurice in a heartbeat!

Staying here was a seamless and enjoyable experience, the pictures almost does no justice to the home; it’s even more amazing in person. Curtis’ communication skills and willingness was unparalleled. He made us feel very welcomed, even left us some treats in the refrigerator. Perfect place. It was clean, private and most enjoyable. Will definitely recommend here to anyone wishing to stay.

A slice of paradise This is a very special place and one that I hope to return to, time and time again. Keith was responsive, friendly and kind. The location for DDI is one of the best that I've experienced, mainly because it sits on a gorgeous bay that I swam in for three days straight. I am a water baby and so although the house itself is super comfortable, clean, modern and overall really incredible (the photos don't do justice)> i spent most of the time on the jetty and in the water. Keith had a kayak, a paddle board and noodles which allowed us to switch up playtime on the water. Both evenings my husband and I head out to the open water to watch the sunset and these were very special moments. There is an outdoor dining room and grilling area with a sink and we had dinners out there each night. The kitchen opens into a gorgeous wooden gazebo with a beautiful breeze and spectacular view. There is also a top gazebo where you can watch stars. I can't wait to be back!

My stay at Grace’s place was amazing. I ended up getting a bit under the weather and Grace was hospitable to me. Even when I waited for the Taxi driver to take me to the grocery store she provided me a meal and on my first night there when I hadn’t eaten. She had plenty of clean linen, towels and etc. The space was so clean and homey it had everything I needed for my extended stay.

House just as described, very comfortable for a group of 6, restaurants and night life just minutes away. House located in a safe community, cold ac and all the amenities you would need for a week or two. Host communicated throughout our stay to make sure we were good. Will book again and refer to family and friends.

This was easily one of the most memorable and magical stays my fiance and I have experienced. We chose the location based on previous reviews regarding it being an ideal stay to unwind from Carnival weekend (and it WAS). Our host went above and beyond making sure we had drivers to get us to/from the airport and multiple Carnival events and offered us different Carnival recommendations. We were greeted with fresh juice, friendly and professional vibes, and a tour of our space. The breakfast offered by Abina was fabulous all while taking in the breathtaking hills and her Koi fish. We loved getting to know our host and making genuine connections. We would be honored to go back!

Michael and Margaret were wonderful hosts! Their hospitality was truly appreciated, and their place provided a great, decent base for our Trinidad Carnival experience. While it's about a 30-minute car ride to the capital, we actually loved being in a more local neighborhood. Plus, one of the best fetes was literally right down the street, which was a fantastic surprise! Staying in their home gave us a much better exposure to Trinidadian culture than we would have gotten in a hotel. Michael and Margaret went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. They provided us with all the information we needed about the carnival, local events, and things to do around Trinidad. Their insights were invaluable. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend this Airbnb to fellow travelers looking for an authentic Trinidadian experience during Carnival. Nyla’s place was great. It was my friends and I first time in Trinidad and we had a good time. Her place was clean and located in a good area. She was very easy to reach and very accommodating to us. We we definitely stay at her place again and highly recommend others to stay there during there stay. Thank you again Nyla.

All photos were accurate, AC in the two upstairs rooms worked great. Having two full baths was great. There were even snacks in the kitchen for us! Showers were great. 15 min walk to the Savannah. Comfortable beds and pillows. Since it's a whole house, it's very comfortable for 4 people. Helen is the best! Highly recommend if staying in Port of Spain.

We stayed at this home with a group of 8, and it was a great experience! The house was very spacious, super clean, and the air conditioning was wonderfully cold—perfect after a day out in the Trinidad heat. We all felt safe in the neighborhood, which gave us peace of mind throughout our stay. The host was incredibly responsive and attentive to all our needs, making sure everything went smoothly. They were also very accommodating with our check-in and check-out times, which made our travel plans so much easier. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-kept home base in the area.

Really cannot praise Guy enough. He facilitated our late check in and had provided us with some hugely appreciated breakfast provisions (arrived after most stores closed). He was responsive and attentive throughout. Have never had an Airbnb host anticipate guests needs so well or respond so quickly and helpfully. We had no issues, but feel confident he’d have dealt with anything if we had! He’s also a very talented artist but needs to tell his guests before they’re leaving.

this place has loads of character. Also, I liked the fact that even though you are on a hill, you are only 15 mins away from Port-of-Spain. The mountain views are lovely. Rocky, the hostess, was very attentive to my needs and guided me to a tour of Paramin. She didn't hesitate to answer my questions during my short stay. I cannot wait to return.

We had an amazing time staying at this property during Carnival season! The place was spotlessly clean and had a modern feel that made it incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect – quiet and peaceful, but still close enough to all the action. We loved being able to return to such a serene spot after a busy day of festivities. The pool was pristine and well-maintained, which made for a relaxing dip whenever we needed a break. Overall, it was a perfect home base for our Carnival adventure. Highly recommend!
