Family-friendly vacation rentals in Garfield County

Great location, spacious, and we loved our stay / would visit again. There were a few damaged items throughout the house (a sink, door, toilet seats, etc) but they did not impact our stay. It would also be nice to be able to use the pool table, and have a slightly larger hot tub

I go to Carbondale often to visit my son who lives there, this is our favorite place to stay. hours of ping-pong makes it so fun and close enough to be convenient but far enough away to feel private!

Absolutely amazing home. Just sitting on the back deck with the view of the mountain is worth everything. The home was clean host was great. Can't wait to stay again.

Fredy was incredibly accommodating and the space was comfortable. We picked this spot as it was close to family despite it being bigger than we needed. This would be a great find if you had a bigger group.

A magical majestic sanctuary. One can only dream of this connection with nature. I will be coming back every chance I get. Stargazing you literally get lost and immersed in the stars. Meeker Hunting Cabin was a lovely stay and I would come back again.

This home is located in a beautiful neighborhood, and it was perfect for our family vacation! My family enjoyed the large yard, stream by the house, and the lake. Great location for a vacation that is close enough to get to Glenwood’s amenities (like the hot springs and the adventure park), but located in the valley with cute small towns of Carbondale and Basalt. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at Felicia's place. It was exactly what we were looking for; the wrap around deck had outstanding views of Mt Sopris. The space itself looks just like the pictures. Kitchen was well equipped. Bed was comfortable enough. Great location with a 10 minute or less walk to restaurants and coffee shops in the area. We also had a snafu (totally my fault) and Felicia was kind, understanding, and responsive when resolving the issue. Would definitely recommend this to a solo traveler or couple with or without a dog looking for a nice place to lay your head in the roaring fork valley.

We had the most delightful and relaxing weekend at Cedar Ridge Ranch! Pam is the sweetest host and always made sure we were ok, she was super responsive and attentive. The location was exactly what we wanted, secluded and peaceful. The animals are incredible and so nice! I gave the horses so many pets! We also love the fact that our dog was able to stay with us on the farm. Our glamping tent was perfect! It had everything we needed and was very comfortable plus we had a private bathroom/shower! The bbq was perfect and we highly recommend buying their bacon and sausage!!! The bacon is to die for. Seriously..they were the best hosts. The story of Pam, Randy, and their daughter is inspiring and made us dream of opening our own farm. We will absolutely be going back!! Thanks, Pam & Randy!!

Great stay and dig the old house. Anyone complaining about the floors has never lived or stayed in an older home...it is a great place. Right in the middle of everything.

The bear mentioned in the house rules did stop by, the kids were fascinated. There was also a slight mix-up on the access code and initial directions to the unit (wrong unit was sent), but Amber and Matt took care of it right quick and corrected it.

A very pleasant apartment right by the roaring fork river. Lots of outdoor space and furniture to enjoy downtime by the river. Great communication from the host throughout.

This property is so beautiful and spacious. We celebrated my husbands birthday for 4 days. We were able to cook and enjoy breakfast on 2 lovely patio decks! The home is open and gorgeous. We kept our ebikes on our vehicle, with no safety issues. There are many paths to bike along the Colorado river. We also biked to a local breakfast place. We would definitely rent this place again!

Excellent place to stay 20 min from aspen

This was the most beautiful stay we have had yet. What a wonderful way to spend a birthday weekend away from the world! The pictures were beautiful but somehow did not do the view justice, it was jaw dropping once you stand on that porch. I’ve never stayed at an Airbnb that was stocked with everything you could need and more! If you’re planning on fishing, I would go in the later summer months when the river is less high. We were still able to catch some trout in the ponds close by. Thank you for such a beautiful experience!

Fun house for a couple nights stay near Carbondale/Aspen/Glenwood. It fit 4 of us very comfortably, and could have fit a few more people (sharing beds). Spacious living room was good for hanging out in the evenings. Location was pretty good, about 45 minutes from Aspen, 10 minutes from Carbondale, 20 minutes to Glenwood Springs. It required a left turn out onto the highway to get to Carbondale and Glenwood, so driving could be difficult at times of heavy traffic. There was limited hot water for the number of people we had, so we had to stagger when we took showers. Otherwise, it was a great house for our short ski trip, and a great deal!

This house is only a 3-4 minute walk from downtown, which was a big selling point for us. Plenty of room inside and awesome outdoor space!
