Extraordinary, Off-Grid Donegal Cottage

IvoRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We spent a wonderful week in Roland's cottage. It was a perfect off-grid getaway at the end of the world, with the stunning Donegal coast right on the door step, and only the sheep as company. We managed to see just a fraction of the things this stunning part of the world has to offer, so we will be back. Even though we expected to spent the week by the firestove with books, the weather in mid October was great, always changing, with much more sunshine than we hoped for. Highly recommended!

Rathlin View Cottage

RebeccaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Quite literally the most peaceful place I have ever been in my life. I know people say this all of the time but the picture truly do not do Raithlin Cottage justice. The home, the landscape, the beauty—unparalleled.
A sandy beach stretches along the coastline, framed by grassy dunes and rolling hills in the background. Groups of people are seen enjoying the area, with some relaxing on the sand and others walking along the shore, all under a cloudy sky.

Mary Ellen's - Doonalt

LorraineRating, 5 stars11 months ago
The house is in a fabulous location - close to the beaches and only 15 minute walk from the village. The house is warm, comfortable, inviting and well-equipped overall. Paul was very quick to respond to any of our questions / requests. We would highly recommend the house and we would be delighted to book it again ourselves.

Dún Marie - Seaside Bungalow

PeterRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We love Glencolmcille and have stayed there many times over the past 15 years. Mary's home is one of the best we've stayed in - it is special. Not just for its charm, convenience, and spotlessly clean interior, but also for the spectacular view from the house, especially from the back patio and garden. It also has private access to an immaculate beach, lapped by clear, clean blue waters. If you are in need of a relaxing holiday, then this is definitely the place for you. As a host, Mary was extremely helpful in the lead-up to our visit. She answered any questions I had very promptly (even the stupid ones!), and while we were there, she was always on hand via messenger to answer any additional queries. Her home is just a short hop - a 15-minute walk - from the centre of Glencolmcille, which has a well-stocked shop, a great wee café (Kelly's Corner), and one of the best pubs you're ever likely to find (John Eoinins).
