Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

The Wilder Woods Cottage

This place has everything you will need for a wonderful stay on Salt Spring Island. Close to town but situated in a safe and quiet rural area. Heat pump for warmth or AC, Comfy bed and a couch with hide a bed for extra guests. Patio with furniture and a fire pit. This is our actual home that we can rent out for just a few months out of the year. Outdoor pool available from June 1st-September 1st. There are animals that roam free on this property, a tiny dog and cat. Please only friendly pets.

Adults only, comfy spacious cottage on a private setting! Close driving distance to parks, hiking, art and culture, great views, restaurants & the beaches. A light breakfast of organic granola and fruit in the fridge is offered, as well as teas, coffees, etc. The seaside farm is down the driveway where horses, sheep, chickens, cats, and a dog live. Water Front One Bedroom Suite with view and beach

A beautiful one bedroom suite, amongst the trees with stunning views down the harbour to Ganges. All rooms overlook the water. There are stairs to the private entrance, and also from the deck outside the suite to the dock, beach and boat house. Large open plan dining/lounge area, with an American Leather (extremely comfortable) sofa bed and mini kitchen. The bedroom has a Queen bed, two night stands and a dresser. Three piece bathroom. House is newly built and has a lot of character.

Cozy Sanctuary, Centrally Located Studio Suite

Leigh Anne and John were great hosts and live in a lovely spot. We appreciated the blackberry tart John made after a steep climb up Cranberry Road on our bicycles. We loved getting to hang out with their sweet dogs while sitting on the Adirondack chairs in our private yard space. The interior is very well done although the ceiling in the bedroom area is a bit low for tall folks. We really enjoyed Salt Spring and even saw a great show at the Jam Factory one night! We’ll be back.

We had such a lovely stay at Dal’s place! The king sized bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. The shower had great water pressure, which is always a plus, and the whole suite was clean, cozy, and welcoming. The outdoor seating area was a definite highlight. We spent time enjoying the sunshine while watching deer graze nearby, with a charming peek-a-boo view of the ocean in the distance — so peaceful and serene. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. It’s just a short walk to the Saturday market and local shops, yet far enough away that it still feels quiet and private. We felt extremely safe the entire time, which made it all the more relaxing. Dal was also a good host, offering helpful local recommendations that we really appreciated. Would absolutely stay again!

Asia’s place was beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice. We woke up to deer in the front yard, and beautiful sunrises, as well as peaceful sunsets overlooking the water. The amenities were modern and luxurious— especially the tub! We had a wonderful stay. 100% recommend and would stay again.

We had a fabulous stay with Gary and his wife Annamarie. They are very hospitable, and made every effort to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Their accomodation is on the waters edge. We ate breakfast whilst watching the seabirds dropping clams on the rocks so that they could eat theirs. They have a gazebo, hot tub, sauna, and ice bath all overlooking the ocean, and all available for use by the guests. Plus they allowed us to us their kayaks so that we could paddle over to Chocolate Beach on Third Sister Island. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Comfortable, private with loads of thoughtful touches and beautiful surrounds, this was the perfect stay for my long weekend bike trip. Skye and Maple made me feel right at home. They are such genuine, kind hosts. The sheep in the field nextdoor added cuteness and comedy. Highly recommend!

Our family of 3 enjoyed our 5 day stay at Michelle and Blair’s Airbnb. It was cozy and well equipped. It was in a very quiet and peaceful setting amongst the trees. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was a good size and the price reasonable. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay on Saltspring.
