Vacation rentals with a washer and dryer in Gampola

This was our first stay at Nimendra’s place and certainly won’t be our last, we’re already planning to return! The apartment felt like home, with a calm atmosphere and access to excellent shared facilities. The pool and gym were spotless and inviting, and the views of the Knuckles range were simply breathtaking. One heads-up for future guests: on arrival, we were asked by building staff (not Nimendra) to open and unpack our luggage entirely as part of a check-in procedure. We respect the security, but after an 11-hour flight and a long drive to Kandy on the same day, it wasn’t the warmest welcome, this could be better flagged in advance. In the flat, a few extra kitchen items (e.g. pasta strainer, dish rack, dustpan) would make self-catering easier. Despite these, everything else about the stay was top-notch. The space was quiet, spotless, and well thought out, and Nimendra was helpful and responsive throughout. A lovely stay in every way!

Our family (2 adults 2 kids) stayed with Chitra and also took her cooking class. Chitra, her husband and daughter were are lovely hosts. The apartment was private and located on the bottom floor of the residence. There is a suoermarket and take away restaurant (very popular with locals) a few blocks away. Not much else in walking distance that i saw. If you do plan to really cook in the unit, you will need to alert Chitra as just the basics are on hand (this seemed to be common in Sri Lanka). The cooking lesson included a meat, a veg, a dahl and a fruit curry. All delicious. I think we would have preferred a more hands-on session but we were battling some travel fatigue (especially with our youngest)....so my suggestion would be to coodinate with Chitra on how much participation you want to have. We didnt have time to do the market visit.

Everyone at Ifti Holiday Home are super hospitable, helpful, and friendly. You will feel at home and welcomed in Kandy with their hospitality. They’re very flexible and responsive about your needs. Their home is very clean, very spacious, very secure and also has a very fast internet. The description on the listing is very accurate and trustable. The location is very convenient and there are supermarkets around. Highly recommended and I enjoyed the stay very much. I’d also say this is one of the best places to stay on Airbnb in Sri Lanka. Would love to stay there again.

Our host couple Indira and Lakshman are very attentive and helpful people whose hospitality comes from the heart. We stayed for six weeks in their beautiful house, which is situated in a lovely garden on a hill in Sirimalwatta. Our flat with kitchen and two bedrooms also has a terrace where we always had our meals as a family of four. We liked it so much that we will be staying here again temporarily on our next visit to Sri Lanka in the autumn. Lakshman also helped my husband a lot with one of his local projects and arranged an appointment for him with the local governor.

If only you could leave a bonus star on Airbnb. We felt fortunate for the opportunity to stay here. Truly an amazing place with a very friendly host. Highly recommend

We had a very enjoyable stay. The host was very responsive and went out of his way to make us comfortable. The workers on site were very helpful and friendly. The kitchen had all what we needed. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were more than what we expected. Clean and comfortable place and I recommend the place wholeheartedly. 5 min walk to the Katugasthota city center. 30 min car ride to the Kandy city center. Most banks and shops are just within reach. If you need a Tuk, they are just outside the main gate.

Chandinal and Eloma have a wonderful family that will make you feel at home. They will help you with whatever you need. The house is fifteen minutes walk from the center of Kandy, and it is highly recommended to leave the center of Kandy to breathe and sleep better. The air is cooler in the area where the house is. You will be five minutes from the main Buddhist temple and very close to shops and bakeries to buy food. A great experience and highly recommended to stay on the cd

Everything was as described. This spacious, clean and well equipped apartment is in a very good neighbourhood. The family were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They even supplied tea and washing powder. Great value. I would highly recommend this place.

A truly gorgeous place with a spectacular environment. We were warmly welcomed by Sandaya and her husband, whose hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. Wow! I have been traveling with AirBnB for 11 years now and have never had such a great experience. The slogan "Your second home" is not just a slogan, but a reality right from the start. I can only recommend this accommodation to everyone. From the facilities and service to the location, everything exceeded our expectations. In addition, Gampola is an authentic place where you can get to know Sri Lanka at its best in an oasis of tranquillity in the midst of different religions. Centrally located, Gampola offers a good starting point to discover the surrounding area, all the way to Kandy.

Wow! This place is incredible, if you love golf you’ll be in heaven. I’ve never played at a more friendly club ever! The members are so welcoming and we made some awesome friends here that we will keep in touch with. Alan is a great host and did even more than required we feel really privileged to have met such wonderful people. His property is amazing, you won’t be disappointed, along with his care taker and house keeper we felt relaxed, safe and well looked after. Our 10 day stay here will be hard to beat, we can’t wait to come back!

We had an incredible stay in this beautiful apartment. The location was perfect, offering breathtaking view, a peaceful atmosphere and sounds of nature. The apartment itself was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What truly made our experience unforgettable, however, was the hospitality of our hosts. The mother and daughter were incredibly kind and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure we felt at home. They prepared all our meals, which were by far the best we had in Sri Lanka – delicious, homemade, and made with so much love. They were also a huge help, always cheerful and ready to assist with anything we needed. Their warmth and generosity made this stay exceptional. Highly recommend this place – the hosts truly made it feel like a home away from home and wish us to come back one day!
