Beachfront farm

Fogensegaarden near Bogense has an unusual location for an old farm. A few meters from the beach on the island of Fogense, which was dammed and the road into Bogense drained and protected by a dike almost 150 years ago. An enterprising farmer, Christian Jensen, built the farm 130 years ago in its current form with a large farmhouse and a humble tenant housing at the southern end. The home is decorated in an old forge with charming details. It is located in a small town with good shopping opportunities within a few hundred meters. From the garden, there is a beautiful view of the open field towards a nearby manor house. Odense, Svendborg, Nyborg and Kerteminde are all less than half an hour's drive away. The place is ideal as a starting point for cycling in the area with a short distance to the forest and beach.
