Vacation rentals with a patio in Franklin County

I was greeted with apple cider donuts waiting for me on arrival, a thoughtful touch on entering this lovely home. It was a quiet and peaceful location, convenient to downtown Amherst. Everything went smoothly and the beds were quite comfortable. I would stay here again!

Niels' guest suite was probably the nicest Airbnb we have ever stayed in. It was the perfect base for our family during our twins' UMass graduation weekend. It was close to campus, but felt like a world apart when we needed a break from our action-packed weekend. I was just telling a co-worker about our stay and summed it up as "the convenience of an Airbnb with all the amenities of a high-end hotel." Everything was comfortable, clean and calming. As others have mentioned, the little touches, like plenty of coffee, fresh flowers and snack foods made it feel so welcoming. Niels was extremely accommodating to our changing needs, as our party changed in both size and make-up over time. He checked in frequently and went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this property and host!

My friends and I stayed at Jen's place for our high school reunion. The pictures did not do it justice. Not only was her place spacious, clean, and homey but it was less than a 5 minute walk to the Main Street. Jen's recommendations for coffee and food were great and the home was equipped with everything we needed, and even some things we didn't think about like books and board games. The bedrooms were all spacious and there were plenty areas for a group movie night or some quiet alone time. When we first arrived, my friends and I did not know how to lock the door. However, as soon as we reached out to Jen she responded and with patience and grace walked us through the process. My friends and I will be returning every time we visit the area ! Thank you for a great stay.

Thank you Bernard and wife for creating a clean, cozy environment. My son and I felt safe and comfortable. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and bathroom. I highly recommend this setting for anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

We had a lovely stay at Wesley’s place. It was very nice (and clean) and had everything we needed for a short stay. The beds were extra comfy, the kitchen had all the things necessary to fix dinner and meals. The instructions were clear on how to access the house, all and all, a terrific stay and we loved how very close it was to the ski mountain!

Falcon's Nest was a fabulous place to stay in the area - everything there was clean and spotless, a truly homey feeling right from the start. The house itself is stylishly done - starting from architectural elements and through small details around the house. The grounds outside are breathtaking - there's an awesome hot tub, grill, fire pits, and a lake - beautiful nature all around. Location is very convenient to all landmark sights in the area and a variety of hiking trails. Johny and Kate were incredibly accommodating - quickly responding to all our questions and providing valuable recommendations. Overall, this was a great experience that exceeded our expectations!

We needed a place to stay a couple days for Amherst graduation access, and this worked out perfectly. It was a few minutes from campus, town, and easy to find. Comfy bed and linens, coffee, quality furniture, and squeaky clean. Even though it's connected to the main house, we didn't have any contact with, or hear our host for the weekend. It's a perfect place for a small group, low-key family stay.

Wow! I was so impressed by John's home. The space is clean and bright with soothing colors and well appointed furnishings and fixtures. We really felt like it was our home away from home. I could go on and on about the comfortable mattresses and linens, well equipped kitchen, beautiful electric fireplace but instead I will stop here and just say thank you for sharing your home with us. We will surely return.

What a retreat! This was a lovely stay in a beautiful home which was well decorated and every little detail was thoughtful. Our family enjoyed our stay - thank you!

The location was near to a wedding we were a part of, the house was spacious for getting ready and bright and clean. The kids enjoyed the games and puzzles they had to offer as well as a huge selection of children's books. It was absolutely one of the best airbnb experiences we've ever had.

The words that come to mind is this place is breathtaking. The host was amazing and sends awesome videos of the wildlife at night. There isn't enough to say about how at home you feel here. Would love to stay again if I'm in the area. Thank you Barbara and Max

We had a fantastic long weekend on Lake Mattawa. Came to celebrate our son’s graduation from UMass. It was an easy 30 minute drive to campus for graduation. The cottage was a perfect place to hang out as a family…we paddled, fished, played games and cooked. Enjoyed eating on the deck and loved having our morning coffee on the sun porch. Really liked the Quabbin Harvest Coop (awesome local produce and supplies) and had an amazing sandwich at the Corner Cafe. Hope to return!
