Welcome to this cozy nest at the Dalälven edge, 5 km outside Hedemora. Grill on the patio, sauna and take a swim from your own jetty. Indoors there is a modern kitchen, toilet with shower, fireplace, TV and wifi. Come and relax at The Yellow House, a peaceful, cosy cottage surrounded by forest and a stream running right past. A 15min walk (900m) will take you to a beautiful swimming lake with amazingly clear water. We are Malin and Woody and live next door on a little smallholding. We have two children, three cats, a dog and some ducks. Depending on the season, we sell organic duck eggs and vegetables straight from the garden! A woodfired sauna is available to use for 200kr/session.

Lake cabin with all the amenities by the fishing lake.

A home closer to the water is probably hard to find. Taking the boat or in winter time going out to Holmen outside to grill and watch the sunrise is an extra plus. Please also refer to my guidebook that is in my profile. The internet works well with mobile broadband via Telia and others. Winter info: Romme Alpin and Kungsberget are slalom slopes 65 km away. Ryllshyttebacken is a nice family hill 12 km away. 2-4 kicks are available to borrow.

The second time we were there, a bike gang from Uppsala. We wanted to go back - and we don't regret that decision, if you will. On the contrary, it was just as lovely and nice to stay at Isaksbo as we remembered it and longed for! The hostess Annika and her husband are so nice and everything works great. Now, on our two visits, we have completed quite a few of the roads around Bäsingen, Garpenberg, Fagersta, Ängelsberg, Norberg, Hedemora, Torsång, Folkärna, etc. - but who knows if the longing will not become too great a third time?

I highly recommend this home and the host! The apartment is fantastic – big, fresh and well equipped in central Hedemora, close to everything you could need. It was perfect that there were several common rooms and several separate bedrooms when we traveled five adults, a small child and a dog. The host was incredibly nice and genuinely helpful, which made the stay even better. Communication was smooth and quick from first contact to checkout. We felt really welcome and will no doubt stay here again the next time we come to Hedemora! :)
