Come and relax at Casa de las Aves, the House of the Birds, a comfortable and peaceful lakeside country house where more than 80 species of birds have been seen. Beautifully located a 2 minute walk from the Rio Genil river and Canales Lake and a 10 minute walk or 5 minute drive from the nice mountain village of Guejar Sierra, the house makes a great base for exploring the highly variable local area at all times of year. 30mins drive to the ski resort or Granada city and 1hrs drive to the beach.

Casita Tomate is a cosy little house in a small white washed village . The house has original wooden beams and a low door accessing the terrace. It is a great place to relax, unwind, and explore this part of Spain. The village is surrounded by hills on 3 sides and accessed by what was once an old mule track, which now has concrete and aspelt. There are no shops, restaurants or bars in the village . These together with beaches are found in coastal Castell de Ferro, which is 7.5km away.

It is a 4 floor property with a living room and fireplace, 2 bedrooms - 1 double and 1 single bed, both with wonderful views of the mountains. Situated in the quaint village of Válor a traditional Alpujarran pueblo (15 minute drive - Ugijar & 25 minutes from Cádiar). Especially recommended for hikers, and people who do not mind a short uphill walk to the alto barrio. Located near the centre of the village, close to the pharmacy, shops, bank and bars. The local swimming pool is also just a short walk away (open July & August)
