Spacious →Unique →Location →Comfort ✓ My beautiful house is centrally located in the heart of the city, next to the Archaeological museum. It is less than 5 minutes walk from all the city’s historical and culture sights including the Venetian Harbour and sea front. It is also close to the best restaurants, coffee shops, bars and amenities but is perfectly located on a small and quiet side street. You’ll love my place because of the ambience and unique style of the house and the neighbourhood.
“A true love at first sight!!! It is not only the outstanding character of the house, its perfect location in the city centre, its bright cleanliness, but along with this-or on top of this- is its impressive, unique positive vibration. The overall feeling was that love, care, respect, zest and enthusiasm was there, fully embracing us, its temporary residents. Words are not enough. Haris is a gifted superhost. We just can't wait for our next stay at this miniature paradise!!!”

“The small building is right on the beach with just three rooms for guests. We stayed in a bright, colourful room overlooking the sea. On the floor above is a washing machine for guests’ use and access to a lovely roof terrace with long chairs. As we stayed in mid-November, we didn't use the roof terrace! There is a beach taverna next door which, luckily, was still open. The spotlessly clean room had everything we needed and a few local extras had been left for us to enjoy. Poppy greeted us and proved to be very friendly and helpful. We wanted to stay somewhere close to, but outside of, Heraklion for the last couple of days of our holiday. For this purpose the studio on the beach was perfect. The village of Fodele is a few kilometres away, but has a large selection of tavernas still functioning in November. It made a great base for exploring the area.”
Orchid is a 2 bedroom villa in a secluded community of eight privately owned homes known as Mandarin Grove in the heart of Fodele.
“The village of Fodele (pronounced Fothelay) is lovely and incredibly friendly. You are right in the centre of the village so ideally placed to wander in and have a meal at one of the many tavernas. We would definitely recommend going to Bistro Domenico where smoothy George is very welcoming and helpful - the stifado cooked by George's wife is delicious. Head up to Souvenir Street up the side of Aquarius Snack bar, to the large shop at the top for lots of gorgeous clothes, tablecloths and cretan souvenirs. Fodele beach is also worth a visit as is Agia Pelagia if you want more choice of shops, tavernas and activities like boat hire, snorkelling, scuba diving or quad biking. The apartment itself is lovely and much bigger than on the listing as there is a rooftop area where you can look out over the adjoining mandarin groves and both bedrooms also have balconies with chairs to sit on. The pool itself is well equipped with loads of toys, balls and inflatables for kids to play with. I would highly recommend this apartment as a great place just to chill by the pool or to explore the surrounding areas. The Venetian fortress in Heraklion is also definitely worth a visit.”
