We had a fantastic stay at Curt’s place! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely amazing—delicious, hearty, and filling every single time. Curt was a wonderful host who took the time to give us a tour of his beautiful property and shared so much knowledge about the local area. His recommendations for restaurants and tourist spots were all spot-on and really enhanced our trip. One of the highlights was the incredible wildlife we got to see—everything from critters to a sloth! It was truly unforgettable. On top of all that, Curt’s team went above and beyond by surprising one of our group members with a birthday cake, made fresh with only a few hours’ notice. Such a thoughtful gesture! We had an amazing time at this property! The house was incredible. The views were absolutely breathtaking and made every morning feel special. One of the most memorable moments was when a toucan came to visit us right on the property. We were lucky enough to snap some photos. Hopefully I can upload them here somehow. Everything about the stay exceeded our expectations. Ana was very responsive and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. if you are looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended and would love to come back.

This place is so beautiful! The nature all around was beautiful, the exterior area where the patio/pool was so clean and great place to sit and enjoy, even has a grill! Juan Carlos and his wife (workers of the property) were amazing even let us go see and touch the horses they have on the property! Extremely private place, definitely a great place to get away from the city!

Place is great, view is awesome, Hilario did a great job during the horseback ride , he was friendly. If I come back to Costa Rica we will stay here again is total worth it.

We loved staying at Casa Santa Fe! We even wish we could go back because our time there felt too short. When we arrived we had complementary platano chips and traditional Costa Rica drinks waiting for us. The space was very clean and made us feel comfortable. The pool was amazing and a great addition! We enjoyed our nights in watching TV together on the couch on rainy nights. As well as the variety of options of excursions to do and good restaurants to eat at! Danny was also very responsive and helpful, which we appreciated, it being our first time in Costa Rica. Even after our stay, he was helpful in offering us new options for another Airbnb when we needed it. We would definitely stay again!

It really is an amazing place, a comfortable, nice and very well-equipped house. It may be one of the best beds, pillows, and sheets you've ever found on an Airbnb. If you go with dogs, it's an ideal place because it has a large garden for them to have fun safely. Norman was super attentive, and responded to all my messages in a timely manner. If you're going to this area, don't hesitate to stay here. This place made my top 5 best Airbnbs in Costa Rica.

Our stay at Monstera House was fantastic! The host was so thoughtful and made sure we were well accommodated throughout our visit. One of the highlights was the delicious homemade Costa Rican breakfast—such a special and authentic touch that really made our mornings memorable. The space was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We truly appreciated the hospitality and care that went into every detail. Highly recommend Monstera House to anyone visiting the area!

This spot was a little bit difficult to find, but don’t let that discourage you. The home was beautiful. The rooms are located outside. It is very close to downtown area. Definitely recommend this.

Beautiful home was very clean and had excellent air conditioning. Fantastic location only 1-2km from parts of La Fortuna where we kept going for new restaurants or shopping. The location is ideal because you are just out of range of the noise and lights, close enough so everything is accessible, and the beautiful view of Arenal from the 2nd story balcony just can't be beat. Responsive hosts including a local expert were all quick to respond to any question, and a great source of suggestions. My family would love to stay here again the next time we visit.

Loved it here. The property felt very private. The yard is huge, had a mango tree and several others. Saw some Macaw’s fly by right through the backyard. The pool is great, house was great. Mueller had some great food especially right at the main intersection gas station there’s an outdoor spot to grab food. Beautiful drive into La Fortuna or to the nearby hot springs that were like 10 min away. The host was always quick to respond. Would absolutely stay here again!

This cute little place was perfect for the two of us. Having the AC in the bedroom was so nice and made for a good nights sleep. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio and watching and listening to all of the birds and watching the cows who are right next door. Fortuna Waterfalls is close by and it’s a quick trip into town. We would stay here again.

Absolutely incredible stay! I would recommend this place to anyone. The interior of the place was special, and the view of the valley was stunning! It was an easy transport into La Fortuna, which was great, but also far enough away where we felt secluded from the tourism and at peace. 10/10 recommend.

Quaint and immaculate quarters. Very nice people really enjoyed the fruit they left for us. The landscaping is amazing you feel like you stepped into another dimension with all the colors , flowers and spring water pool. Very nice walking around the secure property. We saw amazing birds, disappointed the sloth, took a hiatus right before we arrived.. Their dog Chester is adorable. Bring him a toy!

The house is a peaceful oasis in urban Quesada. Ulises father Gerardo is the host, and he is very friendly and provided great communication. The setting is very secure with a locked gate entrance and even garage parking. Each of the 4 bedrooms have their own bathroom and they were spotless. Since there is no A/C, it is necessary to leave the windows open to enjoy the cool breeze. The windows don’t have screens, but surprisingly we only saw a few insects and 1 lizard come inside. The showers have individual overhead water heaters for warm water. We learned the house is for sale, so if any renters are interested ask Gerardo for details!

This location was great if you want to stay close but not too close to La Fortuna. The house is very private and clean. We highly recommend if you want to stay somewhere peaceful with minimal foot traffic.

Beautiful place, very clean and well kept, safe area, and responsive host. Google maps took us down the street to a different house but it was still on the right road so fairly easy to find based off accurate pictures on air bnb website

The house has a ton of open space and room. The pool and house are beautiful, and the hosts were extremely responsive to any issues and helped arrange tours. Some of the positives- Lots of space- TONS- both inside and outside. Places to hang out, places to eat, etc. There is both an inside and outside kitchen and refrigerator. The location is close to La Fortuna, restaurants, and shopping. It is only 20 minutes to Tabacon and most all the tours. The large room for kids had tons of beds. The house also has a few quirks that are worth knowing. First, like almost all houses in the La Fortuna area, it is on a septic tank, so you can't flush toilet paper. They are upfront about it, but some Americans aren't used to that. The stairs leading to the upper beds in the kids room are very small and difficult to navigate, and we were concerned that our youngest would potentially fall from them. The bathrooms/showers in the kids room are just one room, and the water can back up into the room.

Our stay at this house was simply spectacular. The design is beautiful, very eye-catching, yet incredibly practical. Everything is thoughtfully arranged to make you feel comfortable and at home from the very beginning. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathrooms are spacious and functional, and the beds are truly comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. Another highlight is the location: in a peaceful, nature-filled setting, away from the tourist crowds but still close enough to all the main attractions in the area. Exactly what we were looking for. What surprised us most was the sense of serenity the house offers. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s an experience in itself. That’s why we recommend that anyone visiting not only use it as a base to explore the area but also take time to enjoy the house itself: the peace, the natural surroundings, and the special moments shared with loved ones. Another plus is the host, Esteban, who took great care of us.

Danny's place was amazing. Beautiful surroundings and the trails were amazing. The place was spacious and pretty well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Nice alternative to the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna, but still close enough to get to all the attractions in the La Fortuna area. We would go back to Danny's place for sure! The surroundings are even better than the pictures.

The home was exactly as described and offers beautiful views of the lake! The home is close to La Fortuna and all attractions. The layout worked well for our family (older adult child and two teenagers). Nancy is a great host and gave us good suggestions for things to do! We enjoyed our stay in El Castillo/Lake Arenal area and will be back!

Aqua Vida is simply amazing. Words cannot describe how you’ll feel when you see everything you get with this property. It’s off the main road in La Fortuna but it’s very safe and peaceful. You get all the privacy you want while being 5 minutes away from everything in town. A huge natural spring pool, a covered area where you can cook, have your meals or just hangout, a huge yard to play in, a stream going through the property with beautiful trees and absolutely stunning landscaping. All this and you’re still not even in the house. Book this place. You’ll be happy you did.
