Cross-country trails can be found just outside the cabin and these are connected to the trail network that goes into Vassfaret.

We are a married couple from the Netherlands who fell in love with the country of Norway, AND with the house we now are renovating to become a Bed and Breakfast. We live in Hallingdal since 2008. When this small house in the garden (Hagehjem =Gardenhome) was ready for family and friends to stay in when they visit us, we thought that it deserved to be used the whole year round. Since 2019 we work together with Airbnb and it is nice that more people can enjoy this cozy space. Welcome!

Guests can bring bed linen and towels themselves, and clean the cabin before departure. Or final cleaning can be arranged and left to us at an additional cost NOK 600,- and bed linen/towels are rented NOK 125,- per person. The cabin is newly renovated in the winter of 23/24, with, among other things, a new bathroom and kitchen with dishwasher.

We had a nice stay, the cabin is very well equipped and warm due to heating options. The location is quite nice - remote and high up in the mountains with beautiful nature around. Recommend for a quiet stay.

If you have wondered what a perfect Airbnb experience would be like Adrian's place was exactly what I always dreamed about. First off, the house is smells like new in the most pleasant way and is decorated so tastefully. Sunshine streamed into the living room much of our visit. I absolutely loved the map on the living room wall and the marshmallow flowers gathered from trails nearby. The kitchen had everything a guest might want including the olive oil and spices needed to make a travelling cook happy. I didn't bring any kids with me, but I noticed the house was equipped with everything a child of any age might need. From the kid friendly loft, gaming system, baby gate, highchairs down to kid friendly dishes. In addition to a perfect house Adrian was a perfect host. He spent considerable time sharing information about the local areas and activities that ended up making the stay unforgettable. Best stay I've ever had.

Private, exotic & panorama mountain view

We spent more than a week in the house with our family and from the first second we felt completely at home there. The atmosphere of the house, the decor, the details: everything is very tastefully and cozily furnished. All amenities are available, richly stocked modern kitchen, lovely underfloor heating and nice duvets. The view from both (living)kitchen and living room was beautiful on the hills and frozen lake in the distance. From the cottage you can walk up the cross-country ski route and within a few minutes by car you are on the ski slopes (which is only open on weekends or holidays). We took long walking tours every day and it was delicious to spend the rest of the day on the couch with book and beautiful views.
