Back-to-Nature Eco Retreat

VictoriaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This getaway, has been by far our favourite. we was hoping to escape our busy work lives, and connect with nature, this was delivered beautifully. the cabin offers, a peaceful, tranquil, retreat with an opportunity to explore woodlands and beaches. feel very grounded, and looking forward to returning. enjoyed the books and games that were on offer, the binoculars offered a chance to relax and see the beautiful wildlife that surrounds the cabin. the hamper was lovely, with locally sourced items. the log burner looked very inviting, although it was warm weather meant we didn't need to use it. the stillness and quietness surrounding the cabin was luxurious. although when we did have days out, the main road was minutes away. we enjoyed visiting Loch catrina, fairy glen, Rosemarkie beach, dornoch beach, evanton woods/black rock gorge and a wee pit stop to pipers cafe in tain. just fabulous. congratulations Katy and Jay for providing the opportunity to relax and enjoy the now

Luxury self-catering log cabin at Assich Zen Lodge

Stephen’s zen lodge was an absolute gem. We had an incredible night here , the lodge is beautiful as are the surrounds , so cosy and Stephen has clearly gone to a lot of effort in making a folio he left us full of recommendations of things to do in the area . The whiskey, tablet and shortbread was just the icing on the cake of what was already an environment that made us feel instantly at home . Only wish we’d stayed longer . Absolutely recommend .

Quiet country house, 2 miles from Tain and NC500

This is an amazing place to stay. central to all you may want to see. I'd say a car is definitely needed. the area is surrounded by farmland and animals, it's beautiful. House is gorgeous and comfortable. Christine is a brilliant host. She is quick to respond and will go out of her way to help you with anything, any way she can. it's a hidden gem. Also, if you book check out Cafe 11 in Tain. Best place we ate the whole time there.

Beach side, inbetween Royal Dornoch and Inverness

Amazing location with stunning views, great for walks on the beach and surrounding areas with the dog. Lots of villages and towns within driving distance for a day out. The cottage itself is perfect for a couple (and dog), warm, cosy and homely with everything you need to make for a perfect break. Cannot recommend enough and would certainly consider the hosts other locations for our next breaks.
A sandy beach extends along the coast, bordered by gentle waves lapping at the shore. Green grass and yellow flowers are visible in the foreground, while a clear blue sky with scattered clouds stretches above the scenic landscape.

Enjoyed our stay. Lovely property, very welcoming, even down to the snacks and chocs on the pillows - very thoughtful. Felt like a home from home with finishing touches like lovely throws and cushions, spotlessly clean and had everything we could need. Great host, would absolutely recommend. Looking forward to coming back 😃
