A pretty house in Palmarin, in the Sine Salom Delta, 200 meters from the beach. A quiet and accessible area, from which to visit the Palmarin Reserve and the villages of Ngallou, Ngonoumane and the port of Djiffer. Ideal for relaxing and discovering the delta's surroundings. The house is located in an exceptional environment and has most of the amenities, although there may sometimes be water and electricity supply problems.

This was the highlight of our trip, Ansou the guide recommended by Marie was incredible and a great guide and friend, we really enjoyed the time we spent with them. They gave us a really authentic and informative visit to the village of Sipo where the people are warm and welcoming and will enjoy sharing their language with you. The food that Ansou prepared from the fresh oysters from the fishermen on the village was incredible and did anything he could to help us. Marie the host was great in her communication on the app about no hot water or electricity which was not an issue for one night of our trip. One point of improvement, despite Ansou cleaning the place on arrival and preparing the house, overall the house requires some maintenance or a deep clean e.g bees nest in the bathroom, sink not draining, cobwebs. This is only one small point considering the rest of them are overwhelmingly positive and overall did not bother us but for others may be an issue.

"Darou Salam" Guest house

We were a group of 4, we all fell in love as soon as we arrived. The house is very spacious and modern, the caretaker Mame Cor is very available and attentive. We felt right at home, with lots of accessories we found on site like mosquito repellent (a necessity in this area). A place to visit over and over again. Very satisfied, Djibril is very responsive, we booked at the last minute and everything worked out within the hour.

Chez Mame offers different types of accommodation, the one where we stayed consisted of: kitchen with fridge, oven, sink and utensils (even corkscrew and potato peeler!); washing machine in the house with soap; living room with large table and sofa (playing cards available!); bedroom with wardrobe, bedside tables, comfortable bed and mosquito net; bathroom with shower (good jet); outside a small covered patio overlooking the garden with table. Everything in order and small touches that make a difference, such as the brazier with sage leaves to perfume the house. The pool is small, but well maintained and with deckchairs and tables available for guests, as well as a shaded area if the sun is too strong. Mame is very kind and helpful. The location is a short walk from the market, a grocery store, the butcher, and the tourist pier (I recommend a trip to Mar Lodj, that of Dangane, less than 3 km away). Great if you want to explore the Saloum (given the prices in general!).
