The old building, completely refurbished, is quite cool in the summer however it is equipped with AC for greater summer and winter comfort. Livingroom and kitchen in open space. The bedroom, suite, has two wardrobes for greater organization and storage, the bathroom is equipped with shower. All windows are ported. The house is a 10-minute walk from the popular Giraldo Square.

This location is perfect if you want to drive and spend a few days exploring the Alentejo. Multiple towns are nearby. Evora is a great all day trip, including the megaliths outside of town, and you get to leave all the guided groups behind. Elvas is a wonderful town very near the border with Spain. Villa Real is a gem. Arraiolos is known for weaving rugs. Evoramonte is close by and has terrific views. All of these towns are hilltop towns with castles. The regional wine is terrific, the cork industry is fascinating, the olives, oranges, and lemons, are great, and you are in the middle of the area of marble quarrying. The towns are predominantly full of white buildings with mustard or blue trim and lot and lots of marble. Fica’s place is comfortable, quiet, and has restaurants, bakeries, drugstores, and small shops just steps away.

A spacious sleeping area features a colorful headboard with a patterned design, complemented by two side chairs. Soft bedding with multiple pillows enhances comfort. Natural light filters through sheer curtains, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere.

Our stay was super quiet and wonderful. The house was very clean, smelled wonderfully well and the thermal insulation of the house promises no need to turn on the AC. Also excellent sound insulation outside the apartment. Very well located, close to all points of interest in the city. And a spectacularly friendly and flexible host. We felt very welcome. Another fantastic few days in this gorgeous space, love the selection of books on the shelves, well equipped kitchen, and very fast response from Lawrence and on-site (but at a distance) housekeeper. Cannot fault the house for a family break.
