Make your break simple in my calm, 2015 built, well insulated, warm holiday home, all on one level. A 5 minute walk into Dornoch with its stylish Scottish stone buildings, Cathedral, pubs, restaurants, cafes & gorgeous independent shops. Its one mile from the stunning beach and famous Royal Dornoch golf course. The house is our personal respite holiday home away from our Scottish Highlands rewilding croft 15 miles away. Dornoch has a special seaside micro climate and is always warmer than Muie!

Our little home is perfect for those wanting a great place to relax from the stresses of everyday life. An ideal rest stop on the North Coast 500 or as a base to explore the Highlands. The Hideaway has a double room with en suite, a separate single room & family shower room. There is a fully equipped kitchen, an open plan living/dining room, TV, DVD's and board games. Private parking & outdoor decking with two seating area. Dornoch is a 5 min drive with local shops, bars, cafe's & restaurants.

In Sutherland you can enjoy fantastic beaches, distilleries, castles, golf courses, and much more.

We welcome you to our guest flat which is attached to our home in Portmahomack. We are a sand dune away from a safe beach and coastal walks where you may be lucky and see otters, seals and some of the Moray Firth dolphins.The village has a golf course with a hospitable clubhouse And a fascinating museum the TARBAT DISCOVERY CENTRE whose website is well worth a look at. The general store has a good choice of foodstuffs which you can cook in our well equipped kitchen.

Its one bedroom sleeps 2 and is ideal for couples (king size bed). With your own entrance and garden, make the most of the spectacular views. Your hosts Eric and Alison moved from Surrey after falling in love with Dornoch and can’t wait to share their favourite places with you.

The centre of Dornoch and the Royal Dornoch Golf Club is a ten minute walk. The expanse of sandy beach and dunes is approximately, a fifteen minute walk. It is perfectly situated as a pit-stop for the NC500 or as a base to enjoy the hills, glens and coastline.

Set across the road from a working farm, you'll be able to enjoy seeing the livestock grazing against the glorious backdrop of the Kyle of Sutherland. The cottage itself is over 100 years old and retains many of its original features - the panelling, doors, fireplaces and fixtures, giving a timewarp sensation to your stay.
