We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and fresh on arrival. We appreciated the daily cleaning and Sylvia was extremely helpful. The position of the property was private but also gave easy access to the pool and tennis courts. We really enjoyed the amazing views. We also enjoyed the location as we could walk and enjoy the surrounding area. We will definitely return to this gem!

What a fantastic and serene location for a weekend away from the city. Paula’s place is tastefully decorated and we loved nights sitting around the fireplace. Great braai area and facilities as well. What a gem find and truly special place !

From the breathtaking views to the spectacular accomodation and warm reception of the hosts is what made our weekend a most memorable and exciting time. I highly recommend this beautiful homestead to anyone who is seeking to enjoy the splendor of nature in a stunning home with incredible views. We will most definitely be returning to this amazing place. I also want to place on record that we were a little late in checking out but our host was very accommodating. A very neat place with a wonderful view. We stayed before going to hike and James had wonderful advise, was very kind and even provided us with water after asking if we would be able to drink the tap water.

From the moment you arrive, you are met with majestic mountains. The space is well maintained and spacious. Great for families. So incredibly quiet and peaceful. Lots of local birds pop in to visit. Good hikes in the area. Pack an extra torch as the power can sometimes go out, but there is a gas stove and small backup inverter. Worth a visit!

The house was amazing!! Very spacious with a large kitchen and entertaining area! Very peaceful estate, the kids loved roaming the estate. The central pool was great as we could always have eyes on the children. The host and house helper were very responsive and always available. All round Great experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The estate offered stunning views every time we drove in and out. The location was perfect—right in the center of everywhere we wanted to go, which made getting around super convenient. The house itself was cozy and welcoming; we truly felt at home. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone planning to spend a few days in the area.

This really is a beautiful spot if you looking for some time out. Unfortunately we were in and out for a school sports tournament with not the greatest weather so would have loved to be able to have had more time to stay. You do have to travel on a portion of untarred road but we all managed to reach our destination in a variety of car types. My favourite feature of that house is the well appointed kitchen - often in staying in self catering houses you are supplied with the bare minimum - which is definitely not the case here. Teas and coffees and basic condiments were such a nice touch - right down to a garlic press and an air fryer. Would definitely recommend!

Its exactly as it says on the description "It is your home away from Home"! From the Incredible weather to the picture perfect view everyday. This place really gave us the best possible experience!

Beautiful location if you are looking for a peaceful, private retreat near Michaelhouse, or planning a visit to the many attractions on the Midlands Meander. Kathy’s house is neat and compact, with amazing views over the valley. Mount Shekinah - with its great restaurant - is a short stroll away, Can highly recommend.
