We had a fantastic stay at Curt’s place! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely amazing—delicious, hearty, and filling every single time. Curt was a wonderful host who took the time to give us a tour of his beautiful property and shared so much knowledge about the local area. His recommendations for restaurants and tourist spots were all spot-on and really enhanced our trip. One of the highlights was the incredible wildlife we got to see—everything from critters to a sloth! It was truly unforgettable. On top of all that, Curt’s team went above and beyond by surprising one of our group members with a birthday cake, made fresh with only a few hours’ notice. Such a thoughtful gesture! We’re so grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend Curt’s place to anyone looking for an authentic, warm, and memorable stay. Thank you, Curt!

We had an incredible stay in La Fortuna with our family, including our 3-year-old and 1-year-old. The home is perfectly situated right at the base of the volcano, offering unobstructed, stunning views—we could see Arenal from the living room and even while relaxing outside. The host was extremely thoughtful, leaving cold beers and champagne in the fridge for us, which was such a warm welcome after a long drive. Communication was excellent, and the concierge-style service made it easy to plan activities that worked for both adults and young kids. The space felt peaceful, safe, and well-equipped for a family. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area—especially families looking for comfort, scenery, and great hospitality.

We had an amazing time at this property! The house was incredible. The views were absolutely breathtaking and made every morning feel special. One of the most memorable moments was when a toucan came to visit us right on the property. We were lucky enough to snap some photos. Hopefully I can upload them here somehow. Everything about the stay exceeded our expectations. Ana was very responsive and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. if you are looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended and would love to come back.

We absolutely loved Bob's place! We stayed for 2 nights: 2 kids and 2 adults. The place is big, comfortable and beautiful jungle views and surroundings. What stood out the most is how attentive Bob was and went above and beyond to make sure we felt right at home. He responded quickly to anything we asked and was super helpful not only at Casita but also when we had random questions about Costa Rica culture or recommendations around town. There is a ton of nature to observe from the clean and well appointed Casita. Bob took us on a personal night walk through the property to spot frogs and other nocturnal creatures. The kids had a blast in the pool. Thanks Bob!

This Airbnb was amazing. Stunning view of the volcano. We stayed at villa #5 and it’s as pictured and as described. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and proactive whenever necessary. Overall a great stay. Highly recommend staying here.

Place is great, view is awesome, Hilario did a great job during the horseback ride , he was friendly. If I come back to Costa Rica we will stay here again is total worth it.

Aqua Vida is simply amazing. Words cannot describe how you’ll feel when you see everything you get with this property. It’s off the main road in La Fortuna but it’s very safe and peaceful. You get all the privacy you want while being 5 minutes away from everything in town. A huge natural spring pool, a covered area where you can cook, have your meals or just hangout, a huge yard to play in, a stream going through the property with beautiful trees and absolutely stunning landscaping. All this and you’re still not even in the house. Book this place. You’ll be happy you did.

This location was great if you want to stay close but not too close to La Fortuna. The house is very private and clean. We highly recommend if you want to stay somewhere peaceful with minimal foot traffic.

We are so grateful we chose Kathy’s beautiful house to accommodate our group of 11. It truly had everything we needed to enjoy our time there. The house itself was immaculate- clean, stocked, and spacious. The air conditioning kept us comfortable. It had all the necessities to cook meals and do laundry. The grounds completely exceeded our expectations with incredibly beautiful landscaping, a lovely pool, and a truly magical hot tub area. Kathy was always quick to respond and helpful. Our group was sad to leave on leave on check out day! Kathy has truly created a unique and incredible place to stay. near La Fortuna.

The home was exactly as described and offers beautiful views of the lake! The home is close to La Fortuna and all attractions. The layout worked well for our family (older adult child and two teenagers). Nancy is a great host and gave us good suggestions for things to do! We enjoyed our stay in El Castillo/Lake Arenal area and will be back!

Carols home was the perfect place for our family of 4. Having the private pool and outdoor kitchen were amazing. The home was very clean and we had all the amenities we needed. The tour guide she suggested, Carlos, provided us the absolute best tour of our whole vacation. He even picked us up at the home. We would highly recommend Carol’s home if you want to stay in La Fortuna.

Brandon’s place is absolutely amazing. The house is beautiful and the view is stunning. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay near La Fortuna!

If you are looking to get away and find peace, this is your place. It is a stunning home with a view for days. The drive is challenging, but so worth the effort. Be sure to pick up everything you need before you head up because it's a trek to town. El Tigre Waterfalls is a must and you can't go wrong with any of the ziplines. Put this on your list!

The place exceeded our expectations—it was even better than the pictures! Maria was an incredible host, super welcoming and full of great recommendations for things to do in the area. Everything was exactly as described, if not better. Spotting cows during the day added such a charming touch to the experience. The home was spotless and beautifully maintained. I genuinely wish I could have stayed longer, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly, highly recommend staying here!

Such a special place where we were warmly welcomed like family. Anyara took us on a tour of the beautiful property and showed us the frogs. The family has created such a wonderful refuge, full of life and beauty. Our lodging was comfortable and clean. We got a great night sleep and had a fabulous morning exploring more of the property. We received recommendations for dining that proved to be top-notch. We were only able to spend one night and wish we had more. Came as guests and left as friends. I will come back to Costa Rica just to spend more time here. Worth stopping even for one night. Magic!

I cannot recommend staying here enough! The property is secure and located close to the heart of La Fortuna but tucked away in a spot where you will feel like you have complete privacy. This place is even better than the photos! The kitchen is full stocked with every utensil you could need and has spices as well. The bathrooms are pristine and nicer than any hotel you could stay in around the country. The body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were all excellent quality. The beds were comfy and the air conditioning worked well. To anyone considering staying here, don’t wait another minute. The host, Gustavo is truly such a gem. He is extremely responsive & is on it with the recommendations. He even made us a delicious meal our 1st day! We had the pleasure of spending the day with him at Caño Negro and WOW, such a great day made even better with his company. We have made a wonderful friend and will be recommending “Uncle Tavo” to our friends looking to travel. We hope to visit again!

This cute little place was perfect for the two of us. Having the AC in the bedroom was so nice and made for a good nights sleep. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio and watching and listening to all of the birds and watching the cows who are right next door. Fortuna Waterfalls is close by and it’s a quick trip into town. We would stay here again.

Views were awesome of the Arenal Volcano! House was extremely clean and pool was very relaxing with the waterfall. Air conditioners worked great. Location was just far enough out of town but close to restaurants. Overall great stay in the Volcano House!

Beautiful place, very clean and well kept, safe area, and responsive host. Google maps took us down the street to a different house but it was still on the right road so fairly easy to find based off accurate pictures on air bnb website

Great place being a 2/2. So privacy between rooms is great for either kids or another couple. Clean and close to everything. We will definitely be back.

Danny's place was amazing. Beautiful surroundings and the trails were amazing. The place was spacious and pretty well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Nice alternative to the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna, but still close enough to get to all the attractions in the La Fortuna area. We would go back to Danny's place for sure! The surroundings are even better than the pictures.

Such a great stay! Warren and Andy took good care of us with excellent local recommendations and reservations. The pool is awesome. soths and lots of birds on the property.
