Janelle and Jon were great hosts, very friendly and willing to help out in anyway they can. Their place was perfect- nice rooms, common area and shared outdoor kitchen will all the essentials. The beach is a 1 min walk away, the grocery store and a few restaurants are also just a 15 min walk away. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

We had the best time at sunslice! Delphine and Simone and all the volunteers are so friendly and approachable and they helped us organise surf lessons and board rental. The space feels so homely and relaxed and the bar area is the perfect spot to watch the beautiful pacific coast sunset. Can’t recommend this place enough!

La cabaña es realmente hermosa, rodeada de naturaleza y diseño muy acogedor. Tenía grandes ventanas que dejaban entrar la luz y vistas muy lindas de los árboles. El espacio exterior era perfecto para disfrutar de la fogata por la noche, creando un ambiente muy bonito. Sin duda, un lugar encantador para desconectarse y realizar nuestra celebración.

Ocean-View Room 1 with Pool & Direct Beach Access

I stayed in Miramar but learned about Playa Hermosa on a boat trip from there and really enjoyed the waves there, so I decided to change it up, and I am so glad I did. Charlotte and Buck were the best and picked me up. They offer daily courtesy trips up to the general market 10 minutes away, so guest always have what they need. The store is also where the bus stop to Leon or Managua is, and they shared with me the schedule. They also have a motorcycle for rent with a surfboard rack, which is great if you're like me and know your way around since its only 15 minutes away from all the other breaks. The property is well equipped to feel at home, and with only a few private rooms and plenty of open space, you don't feel cramped. It was quiet and peaceful there and I can't wait to come back longer next time to spend more time relaxing.

Pacific View Bedroom in Tide Pool Paradise

My husband and I spent the most wonderful week at Jared's place in El Transito. It was exactly what we needed, a beautiful place to relax and spend time by the ocean. The house was so comfortable and we felt right at home and so welcomed by Emir and Fran the caretakers! We enjoyed our sleeps in the comfortable bed, and the amazing views from the patio. Breathtaking sunsets and excellent swim spots in the tidal pools right outside the house. We loved the walks along the beach into town where we enjoyed many meals at the local restaurants. Fran made us a delicious breakfast every morning which we were so grateful for. Jared was an amazing host, always there to answer all of our questions and help us figure out our travel plans. Emir was kind enough to pick us up in town and drop us off to the bus when we left! Honestly I couldn't recommend this place enough, if you are looking for a beautiful place to relax with lovely people look no further! 100% recommend

This place was great! I loved the tranquillo vibes, the view from the rooftop terrace, so easy to check the surf, large bedrooms, a shop only 50m away, fruit and vege trucks stopping out front everyday, well equipped kitchen, Donaldo the Maintenance guy is super cool, the French managers super cool, and it’s tucked away at the quiet end of town but so close to the beach…very good price for how good it is!

Guest Room 3 @ Surfbreak B&B

Das Zimmer war so ausgestattet wie in der Beschreibung. Alles im Zimmer hat funktioniert und hinter dem Haus gibt es eine Parkmöglichkeit für Auto oder Motorrad. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit, der Chef sehr nett. Das Haus liegt direkt an der Hauptstrasse. Morgens sehr früh hupen die abfahrenden Busse und Vögel flattern vor die Zimmerfenster. Vermutlich sehen sie sich in der verspiegelten Fensterscheibe. Gleich neben dem Haus kann man in einem Comedor gut essen oder seine Wäsche waschen lassen. Der Besitzer des Hauses betreibt auch ein Strandlokal 100 Meter entfernt. Zum Strand sind es 1-2 Gehminuten. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Supermarkt im Ort.Der Strand ist sehr schön in Richtung Norden, man kann noch etwa 1,5 km laufen, bis man wegen privater Grundstücke oder Felsen nicht mehr weiter kommt. Der Spaziergang ist lohnenswert, da der Pazifik sehr schön auf die vorgelagerten Felsen tost.El Transito ist ein kleiner bescheidener nicaraguanischer Ort...allerdings auch mit viel Müll.
