Family-friendly vacation rentals in Edenton

We had a great stay at this Seaside managed property. Early check in was not an option for this home, but Seaside proactively reached out several hours before check in to let us know that the property was ready and we could head in. Additionally, we noticed that the washing machine was not working when we arrived. Seaside sent a technician out to fix the issue within 24 hours despite it being a weekend. We've stayed at many AirBnBs in the past. This Seaside managed property ranks among one of our best experiences.

The house and property are absolutely beautiful! The private pier was very cool especially with all of the lights on it at night. The woodwork in the house was beautiful! The view of the water from the enclosed porch is breath taking! We found several great restaurants nearby! It was a nice peaceful getaway. We will definitely be back again!

Melissa‘s house is beautiful with a wonderful view of the sound. The kids enjoyed the pool even though it was still a bit chilly in April. (Just remember to take your own pool/beach towels!) We explored historic Corolla, the lighthouse, the wonderful bookstore, the beach and several Minigolf places by bike since the location was great for that. If you like cooking you will find that the kitchen has everything you need. Melissa was very responsive and helpful and did everything to make our stay great!

We had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse! The location couldn't be more perfect for a relaxing visit to the beach. Our group of 16 ranged in age from 7 to 74 and everyone was able to find something to keep them busy. The beach was gorgeous and a very short walk away. When we wanted variety, the nature preserve was right there to the west, offering fabulous sunset views. The house also had a swimming pool and a hot tub, both of which got extensive use while we were there! We worried that we would be in each other's way, but there was so much to do that that was never a problem. Plenty of space, plenty of bathrooms, plenty of decks to spread out on. The kitchen was more than sufficient to cook for a large group. Overall, we had a great time and are already considering a repeat for next year!

Family LOVED! this house! The house was set up well and very comfortable. If you are looking for the four seasons, this is not it. It is a truly welcoming and comfortable home in a lovely location. We kayaked and paddleboarded at sunset every night (our PB’s), did the beach during the day, cooked in the well equipped kitchen and spent family time in the game room at night. It was perfect! Host and property manager were SO helpful and responsive! Cons: Water BUT the host has a 5 gallon water dispenser. Bring at least one 5 gallon container a day. Ace hardware in Corolla have them right in Corolla. Careful washing whites at the house. The water discolored a pair of white linen pants. We were very pleased and will plan to rent this home next year! It was magical and a great vacation. Oh and many horse visits!

A great place for a family getaway at the beach!! A beautiful house with plenty of space. Lots of deck area with swings and lounge chairs. We loved the screened in porch and hot tub right off the main level. Pool was well maintained with lots of lounge chairs and a nice table with an umbrella. The The house is in a beautiful neighborhood and we loved our daily walks. Close and easy beach access. Five minutes from Food Lion and major shopping area with restaurants. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need for cooking. Cindy was a super host - proactive, responsive, and very helpful. We’ll definitely be back!!

The space was extremely clean and organized, super easy to find and check in. The private beach access is about a 5 minute walk or so which was convenient. You’re also not far from Duck which was also very convenient. Overall, it was very nice, I would highly recommend this location and would stay again given the chance.

The place was perfect for us. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood. It’s about ~2 miles from the shops of Duck. The beach is less than five minutes walk—our dog loved it. We had a great time! The hosts were very responsive and check in and check out were a breeze.

Eric’s place was just as described. Very roomy and the pool was larger than most! Short walk to the beach and short drive to see the wild horses. Eric was very responsive and helpful! We had a great relaxing week!

The place was clean and beautiful. Close to the beach but set back in a wooden, quiet private area. Our stay was cut short after 24hrs due to a sudden death in the family. Jo and Micheal were great! I was concerned about leaving the place as we would when leaving after 6 days and Jo said just go. Don’t worry about any of it. Her kindness and hospitality were so helpful to us during a very difficult time. In the end they contacted ABB and we were fully refunded what we paid minus the night we had been there. This was far beyond what we expected. I would stay again in a heart beat! Hoping we can go back next summer and stay here! Jo and Micheal were hands down the best hosts I’ve ever dealt with on ABB.

This was our first time at the outer banks and this house was PERFECT! There were 8 adults, 5 kids, and two dogs. We never felt on top of each other and there was plenty of room to spread out. The neighborhood is beautiful and extremely well kept. It's about a 5-10min walk to the beach depending on if you've got a toddler slowin you down 😉 But it's a very pleasant walk! You can also drive 45 seconds (we timed it) to the parking lot right in front of the beach access if that's easier! There are in fact NO towels like the description says, so come prepared! There was hand soap, and dish soap left by previous guests so that was nice :) There were also two dish towels in the kitchen. Also left by other guests were beach chairs, boogie boards, bikes, and some pool floaties! So maybe check into the house before you go shopping to see what you need. All in all a wonderful experience and we would 10/10 stay here again!

We had a wonderful week at Shelly’s house. It was a good location, the dune to climb up to get to the beach was a little steep, but the younger members of the family had no problems. The house was just as described the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes, etc. the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. I would recommend this house and rent it again. Also, Shelly was very responsive to our texts.

absolutely loved staying here once again. we had a blast seeing the horses, driving the seashore, and fishing the beaches. Definitely plan to come back again when we get the chance.

Great week stay!! Had some issues with the internet not working when we first arrived but Amanda was very responsive and called Spectrum to get it fixed the next day for us. Listing was as described. Lots of bugs and flies outside but to be expected since it was in the listing. Saw a few bears in the area and wildlife! Nice and secluded - about a 25 min drive into Nags head, not bad. Was able to utilize the grill which was nice to have a cookout with the family! Overall nice stay for the price and had a great vacay with the family

We stayed here for a sibling and spouse vacation. 12 of us. It was incredible! Location could not be more perfect. We could walk to absolutely everything we needed or wanted. Beach is an easy walk to end of the street. Great neighborhood! Karen provides endless beach chairs, beach toys, umbrellas, paddle board, kayak. We had no children with us but what a place for a family or a reunion or small wedding. A swing set & a playroom with giant connect 4, arcade games, air hockey and board games. For the adults a pool table, a poker table, chess, a shuffle board table & 2 bars all fully stocked with glassware, and bar ware. Kitchen is fully stocked with all equipment. Pool area provides plenty of seating and fun for kids. All bedrooms have their own bathroom. Bedrooms are spacious. You do not hear anybody from one room to the next. Karen was so great to work with & very responsive to all questions & concerns. Don’t miss out on this one. We will be back! Just the best!

Grouper Therapy is conveniently located - walkable to beach, sound, restaurants/stores in Duck, and neighborhood pool. The house had a floor plan with 3 King bedrooms + 1 more that worked perfectly for our family. The kitchen was well appointed - provides everything you need if you want to cook in. We appreciated all the extras provided - high chair, beach chairs, carts, tv in every bedroom. Our family really enjoyed our week in Duck.

5-stars and we loved staying at John's place. He was an awesome host and we would stay again. Here's what we recommend based on our stay. If you're looking for a hospital-scrubbed clean, Hilton type cookie-cutter beach house or something like that, don't stay here. John's house is a home, his home that he shares with guests in the summertime. Think of it like your cool uncle took off in an RV for a few weeks and let you come over and stay at his house. His house that's in an amazing location (within a few miles of the main section of Duck), about a 10-minute walk from the beach if you're dragging toddlers and all your stuff, with views all around that are awesome, plenty of deck space, a porch swing, a crow's nest type perch on top the house, a Weber Grill, a pool kids can go crazy in, a hot tub adults can relax in, an outdoor shower, fully-stocked with dishes, appliances, silverware, spices, etc. The fridge had some food in it left from previous guests (and we left some too because it hurt to just toss it), but there will be shelf space for food you bring/buy or you can make that space. There are all the dishes you need though, coffee mugs, glasses, sliverware, pots, pans, and the dishwasher is awesome. I'm disappointed reading the huffy reviews of his place. Seems like some folks that always see the glass as half empty. We fit 3 military families in John's place - 6 adults, 7 kids, 1 dog, and we all had a blast. The first floor is really just the entry. On the second floor, the king room had an adjoining bathroom, the 4-bed bunkbeds were across the hall from a bathroom with a tub, a Queen and Full room were a few steps away from that same bathroom, and the other Queen room on the top floor (of 3 floors) had it's own bathroom with a shower. If you can't get up and down stairs, don't come here. Bring your own linens (sheets, towels, pillows and blankets although there are pillows and comforters in each room), or try to find a service you can rent them from. Recommend you bring or buy your own toilet paper spares, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, trash bags, cleaning wipes, and paper towels. There are spiders across the whole island, and they like making webs everywhere they can every day. It's everywhere, you even hear the business owners across town talking about them. They're just spiders. Be one with nature. Close the doors when you come in and out of the house or don't get mad when the bugs try to fly in. Good lesson on night one. Bring your bikes, there are great paths you can ride that aren't very steep in any direction, and the town is a charming and short ride from the house. All in all, John's house was awesome. He was a super responsive host, cared about our stay and that we were comfortable, and we had an incredible and amazing experience.

We loved this house. It was perfect for my parents and grandmother and also my boys.

The location could not be beat! We loved walking to Scarborough Faire and biking to restaurants or the beach. House was clean and stocked well. We would definitely stay again!

Sue’s house was perfect for our family of 10! A 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach. A fabulous pool for all of us to enjoy. A lovely decorated home with plenty of bedrooms and new bathrooms. Loved the outdoor showers. Well equipped kitchen for all our meals. And a porch to watch magnificent sunsets at night! Sue was quick to answer all my questions.

Eli responded to our questions very fast. The house is spacious than the expected. A very convenient place for the beach and other places. Not too close not very far.
