Secret Beach House

Really the perfect house for vacation. Great welcome and lots of little touches. The house is in a dream location, lovingly decorated and perfectly equipped. There's really nothing missing here. Super nice host with great tips and very good accessibility. If we come back to Nova Scotia, we will definitely book the Secret Beach House again. Dear Courtenay, Thank you so much for everything. It was a pleasure meeting you.

We dealt with Holly, not Mike for this trip. Holly was always very quick to respond to our messages if we had a concern or question.

Bohemians Beach Suite

We had an amazing time at one of the most beautiful and peaceful Airbnb’s we have ever stayed at. Suzanne and Sheryl were both such incredible hosts and welcomed us so warmly to their place which was the perfect destination for our first time traveling to Nova Scotia. The atmosphere was extraordinary with breathtaking views of the ocean which was the perfect sight to wake up to each morning. The cottage was stunning and cozy from the inside and out which had everything we could’ve possibly needed for our entire trip. We can’t thank you enough for allowing us to stay here and we highly recommend this spot to anyone else looking for a relaxing getaway!

Captain G’s Executive Bayside Suite and kayaking

Sure! Here's a review-style version for you: "I had an incredible stay at Gary’s Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, Gary was the perfect host—fun, welcoming, and attentive. The property itself is stunning, with beautiful views of the lake that made every morning feel special. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts of home. But what really set this stay apart were the activities. There were so many indoor and outdoor options—whether you wanted to kayak, hike, or just relax by the water, this place had it all. Gary went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and his energy made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a peaceful, fun-filled getaway with a fantastic host, this is the place for you. Highly recommend!"

The Sunny Porcupine - Rustic Cottage w/ Ocean View

EugeneRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Jared and Toni sent us a welcome message to make sure we made it in ok. The place was immaculate and recently updated, rustic lux. The bunkhouse, or shedroom, as we called it, was external to the house and was super quiet when the wind wasn't howling (we showed up in a storm). The view of the bay had plenty of wildlife and the supplied binoculars made the viewing that much better. Supplied Keurig coffee was a nice touch, but we opted for the coffee shop in Sheet Harbour most days, the oyster stout from Sober Island Brewing at night. Try the Spry Bay special pizza from the campground down the road, you can thank me later. We would certainly stay again, if they would have us.

The Porters Lake House

CristinaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Extraordinary property with expansive windows overlooking the lake and a stunning deck for enjoying the view. The interior was both comfortable and stylish, with tasteful designer touches throughout. Outside, the gas fire pit and string lights created a magical setting for evening s’mores. Beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The hosts, Vicky and Steve, were responsive and thoughtful throughout our stay. Note: the steep, unpaved driveway requires AWD—it wasn’t an issue for us and actually added a sense of adventure. There is an alternative place to park vehicles midway for non-AWD vehicles. The only downside was unexpected construction on the lot next door starting Monday, which brought some loud noise. An excavator was moving boulders to clear out space to build a house. Vicky and Steve handled it quickly and graciously with alternative options. Aside from that, the stay was absolutely wonderful.
