The Beach Cottage

The Beach Cottage is a self-catering cottage on a working dairy farm within walking distance to the beach. It is only 10km from the EL airport and a 20 minute drive into EL. The cottage has beautiful views of the sea as well as of cows grazing on green pastures. It has a fully functional kitchen. Tea, coffee, fresh farm milk & rusks are provided on arrival. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. Please note, own transport advisable as we are on a farm.

Our house is bright, airy and welcoming with an open-plan lifestyle, large sliding doors opening onto a covered verandah and a private courtyard and secure off-street parking. You're just minutes from the beach and shops and our neighbourhood is safe and friendly. The sunny main bedroom has a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms both have two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. Our house is filled with books, love and light and we look forward to your visit!

Introducing a contemporary retreat with expansive sea view of Gonubie beach, this fully furnished, modern two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment epitomizes sleek sophistication. Our self catering studio, with backup power and aircon, is connected to the main house. It offers a neat and cozy open plan studio style unit with private entrance and private deck. There is remote access and off street parking for 1 vehicle. Double cab bakkies with a tow hitch don’t fit when there’s 2 cars parked in - where on street parking is generally safe in our quiet neighbourhood. Nahoon Beach and river is 1.5km, Spar and restaurants 500m away.

Nestled just off the R72 at the Gulu River, 10mins from the East London Airport towards Kidds Beach, our peaceful retreat offers stunning views surrounded by nature, birds & palm trees, you'll be immersed in the soothing sounds of chirping birds and buzzing insects. With a private entrance, you’ll enjoy a tranquil and serene stay close to nature’s beauty. Just a heads-up that we have two dogs on the property, let us know if you have any concerns.
