We have an enhanced cleaning policy to ensure guest safety and peace of mind in the midst of uncertain times that includes: A top notch HEPA filter, spraying or wiping disinfectant on all surfaces and washing laundry with hot water and bleach. This is an eclectic and imaginative one bedroom cottage sanctuary with a front porch swing for watching east Austin mosey on by. Joyous comfort is to be had in the main bedroom with custom cathedral ceiling and tempurpedic bed. The bathroom features a walk in shower with custom tile and a clawfoot tub for all of your bathing dreams. There is an additional sleeping loft should you have a friend or two who would like to accompany you. City of Austin Operating License # 096563 This lot features a front house (all yours) and a back house that we stay at when we are in Austin. Please make yourself at home on the front and side porches but we ask that you give some privacy to the back yard immediately surrounding the back house. Thank you! I travel often but regularly stay in the back house on the property. I love getting to know guests and if our paths cross I look forward to talking with you. Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.

Tamara and Sam were so helpful and thoughtful, very responsive to any question I had. Forth right with any information before I even reached out. I loved their place, so clean and comfy. We came for concerts and ate out a lot but the kitchen was well stocked with the things you’d need if you wanted to cook at home. The location was perfect! Walkable to a fantastic selection of restaurants and bars. I have already recommended it several times and would definitely come back!

We stayed at Mary’s for 10 days and it was perfect. Great location that is very walkable. Super safe. We were so impressed honestly. She was so friendly and very helpful. Charming East Austin Studio - Walk to Nightlife

Scott’s place was fantastic - exactly what I was looking for during my first trip to Austin. The location is ideal, just minutes from many of East Austin’s best restaurants and coffee shops. The unit itself is bright, spacious, and extremely comfortable. I especially loved the large sliding doors that let in beautiful natural light, and the patio was perfect for soaking up the sun with a book. They even stocked the fridge with water bottles and soda ahead of my arrival, which made check-in feel extra special. I initially booked the unit for the full kitchen, and while it had the basics, the cookware was a bit limited (one saucepan, one pot, one spatula, and no knives initially). That said, when I requested a knife, the host promptly provided one, and their responsiveness was excellent throughout my stay. They checked in proactively and were helpful whenever I had a question. Overall, I had a terrific experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Austin.
