Caserío Aurrekoetxe

Aurrekoetxe is a typical Basque farmhouse in the Mañaria area that is over 300 years old. Located below Mount Mugarra, on its southern face, it is surrounded by nature adjacent to the Urkiola Natural Park and just 2 km from the urban center of Mañaria. I live with my mother and my two daughters aged 14 and 11 in the same building but with another separate entrance, respecting the privacy of the guests and our own. Tucked on a wild fertile mountain a 400 year old barn was renovated by artists with natural materials. It is crooked, it is colourful, it is wild and will throw you in an another universe for the time of your stay. You have to be nimble on your feet as the tiny access path is crooked and on a slope, and even the floor in the house tilted. A full immersion in a new world for total disconnection.

The house is located in a rural setting 1 km from downtown. It faces south and the views from the property are beautiful. The property consists of two houses, one for the guests and one for the owners. And on the land there is a kiwi farm, we also have free-range chickens and two dogs.
