Waterfront vacation rentals in Dunedin City

One of my family’s favorite stays and extremely comfortable. Bjorn greeted us when we arrived and gave us a quick tour, including how to use the heated floors in the bathrooms! He is friendly and my family enjoyed chatting with him. The location is stunning, across the street from the bay and a walking/biking path. Everything in the unit is expertly furnished. The couches are very comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom was spacious and had enough counter space for everyone’s toiletries. This was also the only place we stayed that had a dryer. There is another Airbnb upstairs who we saw park shortly after us but we didn’t hear anything. Another unit is next door on the first floor (well separated by a divider on the patio) but we didn’t see or hear anything during our stay. Overall great place and we were sad to leave after 1 night. The peninsula drive there is beautiful too.

Absolutely adorable apartment, spotless, amazing facilities and lovely little touches such as the teas and gorgeous milk. Thank you so much. Will definitely be back.

No place better in Dunedin

We had a wonderful stay at Vick’s place! The house was exactly as described. The location was quiet, safe.

We really enjoyed our stay at JPs. The location was great and we walked everywhere. JP was very thoughtful having fresh bread for us as well as offering local tips.

Wow I am in love with this place. What an amazing loft apartment - I wish I lived there! Location was great - easy to get to and plenty of parking which makes for a stress free stay. The loft itself is beautiful and perfectly formed. I had read the reviews and a few people commented on sound/noise but honestly as you would expect with any apartment block you tend to get some noise but it was not loud or disruptive (incredibly minor/normal apartment noises) so does not affect your stay in any way in case that is a concern. As a light sleeper I had a pause when I read the reviews which is why I am making a point of commenting on it but the bedroom is so cosy (for once an amazing bed in an air bnb!) and I slept soooo well. When lounge-ing upstairs you can hear some train noise in the distance but this is part of the ambience/vibe being in a converted industrial building! So if you were on the fence JUST BOOK IT. This is now my new fave air bnb I’ve ever stayed in.

Bjorn's place is very well presented and well equipped, lovely and cosy we felt right at home. The heated floor tiles in the bathroom is a nice touch. The location just out of the city on the water was exactly what we wanted.

Lovely, cosy house. Brilliant kitchen and lovely bedrooms. Quiet as a mouse location and wonderful elevated views over the water. A bit of a way out of town but no problem with a car. Would happily stay again.

Was beautiful view. Small but great size for my partner and I. Homely feeling to the place. Very convenient for us. Paul is always fast to reply and very contactable. We really appreciate being able to stay 5 weeks in this home. Would definitely recommend.

This was my second time staying at Paul’s place, and it was just as magic as the first time. I actually made an error and booked for the wrong week, but Paul was really helpful and accommodating. The balcony with the bay view was magnificent. Highly recommend! Thanks team!

We stayed at this airbnb with 4 people and there was plenty of space for all of us! While the home is situated about 30 mins by car from the center of Dunedin the drive to get there is scenic and the location is very calm and peaceful. The Royal Albatros Center and the penguin watching beach are only a 5 mins drive away. The house was super cozy and it was a pleasure to stay here. We also used the spa a couple of times which was great to relax after a long rainy day! Over all we would definitely recommend staying here especially for small groups of people!

We had a great stay at Phill’s quirky bach. It’s comfy, well-equipped and the view over the water is wonderful. Highly recommended!!

I stayed last year at this very special place, and it's even better than before! So peaceful, and watching and listening to the wildlife is pure bliss. The space is clean and refreshed, so comfortable, and a great walk on property down to the dock where one might even see a sea lion lounging. Plenty of things to do within half an hour, gorgeous views, amazing starlit nights, as relaxing or as active as you want to be! There's no better place to stay in the area, and I am surely coming back! Thank you, Ruth and Olivia!

The cottage is absolutely stunning. it's a dream escape with the most incredible wildlife within arms reach. I would live there if I could.
